The Setup

At any usual WWE Event even the stage of the arena would be far from the focal point of the action. Maybe used for the odd promo but for the most part it would not garner a lot of attention. This even was different however. Since the show started the crowd had been abuzz about the large blue paddling pool that sat to the right and below the stage. The pool was no different from any expensive pool that you would have in a back garden. The walls were blue and came up to about the hip and the water level inside was a bit below that. The pool was there however for a very special match. Tonight, for only the second time in history there was going to be an evening gown pool match. The premise of the match was that four women from the WWE roster would get dressed up in fancy evening gowns and then they would enter the pool and wrestle to remove the evening gowns of the other women. It worked on elimination and as each woman was stripped to their bra and panties they would leave the match until their was only one woman left dressed at which point she would be declared the winner.

The noise level of the crowd had been building all night as stage hands had been back and forth all night adding ice to the water, keeping the temperature low and now the tension in the air could almost be cut as it was announced that th pool match was next, with the first entrant about to emerge.
