The Seige on the Tower!
"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Nyitzcha hollered, her cheeks covered in soot and dust as she rushed to scoop another one of her cartoonishly spherical bombs in her tiny hands, lifting it over her head with glee. A giggle slipped from her beaming face as she hurled the black bomb into the dust cloud as another explosion emerged upon impact. This time the blast sent the tiny dwarf flying backwards, screaming with delight when she felt herself fall into an overwhelmingly large pillow. Looking up, she stared eye to eye with a puzzled large woman with tiny eyes blinking in return, her enormous figure unfazed from the blast ahead. She wagged her tiny round ears at the dwarf before setting her on her feet with her amazingly large paws as the Grizzly tilted her head staring down.
"You are an odd little girl, are you having fun?" Asked Nukka.
Nyitzcha panted, out of breath and flashing a toothy smile. "Am fair puckled lass, I feel back at home! Disis great!"
"She sees that." Nukka whimpered, tip-toeing away from her. "She is going to stay here, you go."
"Ay, yer missin de fun bonnie!" Nyitzcha cheered with raised arms jogging back up the mountain side. Numerous felines ran past her, around her legs and into the tower where the recently blown entrance was made, just as several clunky knights appeared wielding broad swords. Several cats lept up high, growing in midair into Nekomata's and colliding into these men, knocking them into the ground as more and more cats piled on. Dimyri stood up, beside Nukka, raising her hand in the air.
"Pounce and retreat! If you're scared stick with a friend, our agility and teamwork are our best chance to do this!"
From the other side of the tower grounds, Perdilius frantically rose to his feet and looked around at the other dumbfounded knights with puzzled looks hidden beneath their visors. "Don't just stand around, after them!"
They raised their weapons and shared a battle cry, hurrying to counterattack. Perdilius turned to glare at his opponent only to find him gone, nowhere around. Looking ahead, he pointed to his hunter Leone with a scowled look in his eyes.
"Find the girls, bring them to me." Leone reluctantly nodded, taking his time and approaching the fight in a leisure jog much to his annoyance. Trusting the hunter is a problem he will need to ignore, so long as he remains loyal while the contract stands then Leone works for him. Pulling his sagging sleeves back to his elbows, he readjusted his posture and began making his way to the front gates.
Fyoosh!
Something whistled by, grazing his cheek in a blur and making the man misstep in shock. As he spun around, a trickle of blood dripped from his wound. A young elf fierce and ready had aimed his bow to the priest, his eyes cold and lacking empathy as they met. Perdilius narrowed his eyes as Spi'Reto smirked in return, winking back before running off to help his allies in the battle.
"The little brat." He growled, pushing through the heavy iron doors to slip into his tower.
Spi'Reto ran in and raised his bow, striking one soldier on the head and freeing a Nekomata from his hold. She mewed and smiled back as he hurried over, no time for gratitude. From afar, Syri winced and shook, her fur standing on high alert from where she was hiding behind the high rocks decorating the exterior grounds surrounding the tower. Janette and another young boy were with her, away from the battle which ensued. Her back against the fight, she stared at the unconscious Raz resting in his gurney, roped in and bounded to keep him restrained. Forcing her concerns down her throat, she repeated the instructions her sister gave her during the fight to ease her worries as sweat formed on her forehead.
"Keep the prisoner under wraps, keep the prisoner under wraps, he's asleep so its fine. Ooooh, you better hurry guys!" She squeaked, peaking around the rock.
Dimyri stayed by Nukka's side, shouting out orders for the rest of the girls. They were just outside of the blasted hole, several loose bricks were falling down when a flurry of shiny metal men arrived and kneeled down, arrows raised and ready, aimed at the girls.
Dimyri felt her heart jump to her throat. "Take cover!"
One of the soldiers noticed her and pointed his arrow, shooting it directly for her. Dimyri gasped and fell back as a Nekomata lept and caught the projectile with her teeth. Nukka roared and ran forward, pushing cats and men alike and using her enormous size to shield them from the incoming arrows raining down. Squeezing her eyes shut, she felt tiny little pricks running down her back fur as the arrows bounced off and piled onto the ground behind her. It was clear she was mumbling to herself, her breathing rapidly increased and she began hyperventilating. Zimi spat the arrow out of her mouth, running on all fours with a shriek and hoarse cry before tackling one of the archers down. Several of the surrounding soldiers dropped their bows and ran in to help their comrade, apprehending the cat girl and pinning her down when a fierce roar shook them. Spunning around, they were met with a large Grizzly Bear charging forward and crashing into them, sending them flying sideways into the air like ragdolls. Turning back into her humanoid form, Nukka whined as she placed her paw along Zimi's face only to see her smile and kiss her fur in return.
"That's my girl." Zimi beamed, jumping to hug her tight.
"Into the tower! Move it girls!" Dimyri ordered as the rest of the Nekomata's mewed and ran inside. Several of them where whining and pouting with cuts and bruises along their skin, which Zimi took notice. Kissing her Grizzly on the cheek, she hurried over to the wounded girls and whistled loudly. From behind the rocks, the young boy gasped and stared at Janette who nodded in return. Grabbing his little bag, he ran over to Zimi and dropped to his knees, picking out items and assisting her in patching up the kitties. Janette helped Syri move Raz along the way, setting him down among the unconscious bodies of his men as they began helping the other cats as well.
The iron doors began to open just enough for a slender young man to fit through. Felix made his way inside tracking Perdilius, finding himself in a large narrow hallway leading to a glowing pink stone at the end, decorated with idle knights wielding spears at each pillar along the walls. One by one, they turned their visors to his presence, spinning their weapons and aiming them to him before pairing up in the center. They marched in unison as if sharing the same mind and muscle coordination, organized and ready to take him on. Felix stepped back when something shot behind him, stricking the hanging chandelier above their heads as it collapsed and crashed, taking two of the four knights down. Bewildered, the remaining two knights stared at their sleeping friends before running towards Felix, the metal clanking loudly as they aimed their spears for his body.
Spi'Reto dashed beside him, leaping in the air and striking their heads with two kicks using the same leg. Rolling over, he swung his bow along the calf of one, sending its foot in the air and falling to its back. A female groan emerged from that knight as its friend stabbed their spear to the elf who slipped away, swinging in for a kick behind their head to send it back a few steps. Jumping back, Spi'Reto flipped away to catch his breath and noticed the torn fabric along his side as the knight broke the gap with their spear ready for more.
Felix caught himself staring in awe when the clasp of metal reminded him of the female knight running to him with a sharp spear in both hands. Unarmed, he stammered back and fell forward as her weapon pierced the air, scattering away as she tried kicking him on the ground and missed each time. Grunting, she began spinning her weapon with fierce speed as Felix felt himself on high alert, hearing the wind crack through her spear as she ran toward him. Spinning her body, she swung the spear to his chest, then to his thigh, stabbing toward his knee to render him immobile. However, Felix had dodged and jumped out of every attack, leaping back on all fours and pouncing forward as his feet met her chest, pouncing off from her. The knight fell back on her butt, shocked and paralyzed as this man contained such awkward agility of the likes she couldn't foresee.
From behind her, Felix could see Spi'Reto evading his opponent as well, every dodge he would meet with a shot from his arrow in quick precision, until he striked the knights foot and forced him to his knee, allowing him the opportunity of knocking his helmet off with a well aimed kick below the chin. Spi'Reto rolled back and met Felix, nodding as if hinting at what his next move should be.
Sweating, Felix wiped his brow and parted his legs as the female knight grunted and punched the floor. She slid her gloved fingers along her greave, drawing a hidden dagger and launching to her feet. Felix gasped, his slit like pupils staring in shock as the blade drew closer and closer. It was strange, his reaction speed made her seem as if she were moving in slow motion. The grinding of the metal platework armour as it moves against itself. Even the clank of her boots sounded louder than what Felix was used to. It wasn't that she was moving slow, she was quite fast for a woman in heavy armor. To Felix, it felt like his reaction speed had grown twice over. In fact, as he ducked and dashed her attacks from side to side, he realized his body was much more flexible then before. Splitting his legs, running on all fours, these tasks would cause him muscle pain and soreness months before. But now, he found himself leaping on her shoulders, his fingers gripping the bottom of her visor as he pulled as hard as he could until the helmet lost grip and gave way. Flipping back, he landed on his feet and left hand while carrying the helmet under his right.
She shook her head and rubbed her eyes, locking eyes with him. She was pale with soft creamy skin, with a dark sore above her right eyebrow and peachy lips. Her hair was cut short, extremely short, giving her a tomboy look as it waved in the short two inches of length it had. Her eyes were a baby blue color, and as she glared he could see her teeth were a clean white as well. Another loud grunt turned Felix just in time as he witnesses Spi'Reto land a knee into the male guards rough face, sending him back as his arms slumped to the sides, defeated.
The last knight standing wasted no time and ran in, taking advantage of his loss of focus. With her dagger held in hand, she went for his stomach below the ribs only to slice through his tunic as he yelped and jumped forward, leaping off his shoulders. With narrow eyes, she swiped behind her at neck level, blinking in surprise wondering where he disappeared to. Glancing at the young archer, he too was staring in shock above her head. Looking up, she found Felix holding on tight to the ceiling before letting go, catching her as they hit the ground hard. His eyes squeezed tight, he waited for a few seconds before opening to find her face inches from his. Her eyes were shut and she was sleeping peacefully, the impact had left her unconscious.
"Sorry." He whispered, realizing he fell on his hands and feet.
"You are something else." Spi'Reto added, turning around. "Oh no."
Felix stretched his back, popping his back before looking down the hallway to find one figure waiting for them at the far end. Her height was short in comparison to them but her fierce green eyes sent chills down their spine. Felix felt his voice crack as he took notice of her dark olive skin, her brown hair matching the fur on her paws, and the two ears sitting atop her head. Her two tails wagged gently behind her, he would have smiled and cheered had it not been for that pink stone embedded into the collar around her slender neck.
Oh no was right.
