The Scammer

Frank opened his door to find what seemed to be a nice young woman.

"May I help you?" he asked.

"Yes, my name is Marley, and to make money for college, I'm selling subscriptions to delivery services. Everything from pet food to houseplants to groceries. May I come in and tell you all about it."

This doesn't seem right, thought Frank, but he let her in. He shut the door then pulled out his phone and turned on his hypnotic app. "But first, what do you think of this?"

Marley stared at the app and immediately fell under

"Marley, are you being honest with me?" asked Frank.

"No."

"Tell me the truth and all of it."

"My name is Katy Howell. I'm here to scout out your place for my boyfriend, so he can come back and burglarize it if I spot anything worth taking."

"Knew you were up to no good," said Frank. "What should I do with you." Frank stared at the entranced, frozen woman.
