Today, the Room of Requirement has come complete with a cauldron and a magical burner – the basic tools required for potioncraft.

You flatten your Potions textbook on the table in the Room of Requirement, looking at the potion you’re attempting to brew. Felix Felicis is a challenging potion, but you think you’re up to the task. Skimming through the recipe, you make a list of the ingredients you need to gather.{endif}

Some of these ingredients – the Ashwinder egg and Occamy eggshell – can only be obtained from the Potions storeroom. Rue, a common ingredient used for healing can be found in one of the Herbology greenhouses, while horseradish and thyme are best found in the Hogwarts kitchens. You’re also pretty sure Professor Sprout mentioned that a local variety of squill can be found in the Forbidden Forest and it’s the correct time of year to harvest its bulbs. Finally, you think you’ll be able to get a Murtlap tentacle from Hagrid.
