“Tell me again why it’s necessary for the CEO of a pretty big company to be working the front desk again?” Lisa asked while organising merchandise.

“I’ve told you,” Chris laughed, “I want to make sure everything is in order. And I only trust you and Milo enough for the job at the moment.”

“Yeah, I get that. But why the front desk? Why not do some office work or promotional stuff and let me work reception?”

Chris shrugged, “Dunno… Just want to make a good first impression to the community or whatever.”

The front counter had a trickle of people coming in a checking out the facilities for a few hours but around midday things became a little slow.

“I’m gonna work out. Let me know if you need anything.” Chris said, leaving a bored Lisa on the front counter.

About an hour later Chris emerged from his post workout shower, and looked at himself in the mirror. He was a good looking man, with strong facial features a short stubble and a thick head of hair. He was quite tall, standing just below six foot three, and proportionately muscular, which was hardly surprising considering his lifetime spent in a gym.

Chris had never been in a romantic relationship for long, the longest being with a girl from high school named Katie whom he dated for eight months. Being charming, handsome and wealthy proved to make him incredibly popular with the opposite sex, having a steady stream of girlfriends. But, for reasons he was still unsure of himself, he had never really considered settling down with anyone and instead enjoyed the bachelor lifestyle.

He climbed the stairs, returning dressed in his work polo after his workout to see a new potential customer at the front desk. A beautiful woman stood talking to Lisa, with her two teenage sons next to her. She looked to be in her late thirties, and was absolutely stunning. Her long dark brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and her trim athletic body was covered in fashionable activewear. Her two sons clearly inherited her good looks, sharing the same high cheek bones and olive complexion as their mother.
