The Pills Are Making Sue Storm A Mole Woman

Sue Storm pulled her eyelid down to slip the contact lens into place.

She hadn't known, back then, as she was sucking Harvey's cock for pills, what they were doing for her. Slowly. Inevitably. She thought of all the trouble she had with getting pregnant with Reed. The struggles with her weight. Then her eyesight had begun to go—all a result of those damned pills, slowly rewriting her DNA, trying to shape her to be more like him.

The Invisible Woman blinked as the contact slid into place. She ran a hand down her smooth stomach. It had taken rather severe measures to keep off a paunch, thanks to the slower metabolism, and she was still a little softer, a little curvier, than she had been as the Invisible Girl. Yet there were benefits, of a sort. Her other senses had heightened perceptibly. She even had a version of his "radar" sense, which came in handy often. In the dark, the Invisible Woman was more dangerous than ever.

But there were drawbacks, too. Her pregnancies had been so difficult. Her womb was designed to carry the children of a man who wasn't her husband. Sensitivity to bright light, which often kept her inside even on regular days. The lack of sun had made her skin unusually pale.

Her hands went to the bottle of pink pills. The ones that had slowly changed her. Were still changing her. Harvey Elder's attempt to mold her into being like him. A fit mate for the Mole Man.

Sue dry-swallowed the pill. Long ago resigned to her fate. She thought back to when she had first discovered what the Mole Man was up to. How she had felt back then...

In Limbo, Outside of Time

Doctor Doom monitored the shifts in the timeline. The Mole Man's slow poisoning of the Invisible Woman was creating small but noticeable changes. Nothing to affect the course of events, at least not yet. But the chronological changes would soon attract attention. Either from Richards...or someone else.
