"- How is it my fault if he suddenly took all his armor off and sauntered off? Am I supposed to smite him with some never-heard-of spell?"

The irritation in Meriem's voice was unmistakable. Not only had she been ordered to kill the Knight despite her best judgement, but his unpredictable behavior had made it impossible as she finished forming the spell. It was, after all, not effortless to whip out a localized thunderstrike inside an enclosed space.

"- He must be destroyed! He cannot be tolerated after such awful actions!" the old man's voice was shrill and grating.
"- Well, how do you suggest we do that, then." Her tone suggested her thin patience was coming to an end.
"- I suggest you call upon Imarsi's rage, that's what I suggest!"

The sheer craziness of the suggestion gave them all pause. Everyone knew that such power, unbridled and raw, was truly unpredictable, like an avalanche or a summer storm. Yet, once the old man had taken his stand, his pride would prevent him from backing out.

"- Your advice has been recorded. If the Lord orders it, so be it." said Meriem.
