The Ones With Rachel

Season 1, The One With the Laundromat.

Rachel is still learning how to live independently from her family. Tired of the hassle of doing her laundry every couple of days, she has the brilliant idea to go to a 24/7 laundromat just before dawn and wash all her clothes at the same time, including what she was wearing.

Rachel enjoys her nudity at first and bracingly walks all over the empty laundromat as a way to express her newfound freedom. The tables soon turn for her when she spots Joey and his most recent date coming over to the laundromat too.

Rachel ducks behind a dryer and spends the rest of the episode trying to sneak back to her washing machine to retrieve her clothes. Unfortunately, she gets spotted by Joey’s date and runs out of the laundromat before Joey manages to recognize her. Of course, since she forgot to take her clothes, she has to walk all the way to the apartment in the buff. Then, because she forgot the keys and Monica is out working, she has to take another walk of shame back to the laundromat to retrieve them.

Season 2, The One With The Party.

Ross is throwing a welcoming party for his new girlfriend Julie, and Rachel gets jealous. To embarrass Julie, she tells her that it’s a New Yorker tradition to attend such a party in the nude, to show that she is “open” to all her friends, and has no problem sharing anything with them.

Julie attends the party naked, to Ross's bewilderment. He asks her why she is not wearing any clothes and Julie informs him of what Rachel told her. To try to save face, Rachel pretends that it’s a family tradition that she was sure was popular in the rest of the country. Rachel is then peer pressured to strip and spends the rest of the party in her birthday suit along with Julie.

Season 3. The One With The Nudist Beach.

To get over her breakup with Ross, Phoebe proposes that all three girls go to a nearby nudist beach to unwind. After much convincing, they agree. The group goes to the beach, strips, and then realizes that they went to the wrong place. However, when they try to pick up their clothes, they notice that they’ve been robbed.

Stranded naked and empty-handed, the group scours the beach for a coin so that they can use a payphone to call for help. Monica calls Ross since he is the only one that has a car. When he comes to pick them up, Rachel refuses to get in the car or even take a towel out of pity. In the end, Ross, Monica, and Phoebe drive away, leaving a naked Rachel to spend the rest of the episode trying to walk back to Manhattan in her birthday suit.

Season 4, The One With the Handcuffs.

After Rachel releases a handcuffed Chandler from her boss’s office, she realizes that she will get in trouble if said boss figures out who let her lover go free. She tries to cuff Chandler to the chair again but he manages to turn the situation around and handcuff Rachel to it instead.

Chandler runs away while yelling sorry and Rachel calls for her co-worker to help. However, she sees a chance to harm’s Rachel career and improve her standing with the boss. Rachel’s coworker strips her while she can’t do anything about it, her hands stuck under the chair's armrest.

The boss returns and finds Rachel there instead of Chandler. She is furious, so she decides to keep Rachel a while longer. The boss starts a meeting with all the other Ralph Lauren executives, and Rachel can’t do anything but stay there for the whole conference wearing nothing but her smile.

Season 5, The One With Rachel’s New Dress

Rachel goes to her date’s home. Thinking she is about to have sex, she changes into a transparent skirt just as his parents come back from a trip. To make it seem like nothing sexy was going on, Rachel pretends that her see-through gown is actually a dress she is testing for Ralph Lauren, and that she was about to take the guy to dinner.

The parents then invite Rachel and their son out, and she attends dinner wearing nothing but the skimpy gown. The rest of the episode consists of Rachel cringing as she has dinner in the fanciest restaurant in town and the walk afterward when she has to return home still wearing the translucent dress.

Season 6, The One In Vegas.

While partying around Vegas with Ross, Rachel gets so drunk that she starts a betting spree. Her luck is terrible, and she starts betting her clothes to keep playing. Of course, she still loses.

The episode culminates with both of them getting married in the chapel, Rachel wearing nothing but a veil as her astonished friends can only look with incredulity.

Season 7, The One with Rachel’s Big Kiss.

Rachel’s old college friend Melissa comes to town, and Rachel tries to convince Phoebe that she once went streaking across a college football game with Melissa and the two kissed in the midfield. Phoebe doesn’t think that someone as vanilla as Rachel could ever have done anything as crazy as that, and Melissa doesn’t want to confirm her theory.

To prove them wrong, Rachel drags them both to the stadium. She plans to repeat her streak. Thinking it is empty, Rachel undresses and runs headlong into the field but freezes when she realizes that she is interrupting a crowded game. A naked Melissa soon joins in after her, stating that she does remember the kiss but didn’t want to say anything in case it meant nothing to Rachel. Melissa then kisses Rachel in front of the whole stadium before security catches them both.

Season 8, The One With The Videotape.

Ross and Rachel argue over who initiated the hook-up that got Rachel pregnant. Ross produces a videotape of the encounter to show that it was Rachel. The video not only proves him right, but also records up to the moment when Rachel undresses. An embarrassed Rachel rips the tape out of the VCR and decides to keep it for herself to avoid anyone else seeing it.

Later on, Rachel mixes up a demo-reel with her confession tape and sends the latter to her work. Rachel is later mortified when she arrives at the office and sees her breasts projected on the conference room in front of all her coworkers.

Season 9, The One With the Catwalk.

Rachel returns to work for Ralph Lauren but finds that she doesn’t have anything to do yet as her replacement is still there, and she still has a few more days of maternity leave. Not wanting the new guy to replace her, Rachel asks her boss to give her any work he has. He mentions that there is an opening in the modeling department that she could fill for the time being.

Flattered, Rachel accepts outright without hearing what she has to model. Just before stepping on the catwalk, she is shocked to know that she is going to be wearing a winter version of her see-through gown for the lingerie collection. Not wanting to look bad in front of her boss, she dons the garment and steps out practically naked into the catwalk.

Season 10, The One Where Rachel Gets Fired.

Rachel’s boss at Ralph Lauren overhears her having a job interview for Gucci and decides to fire her. As he does, he asks that he return all the Ralph Lauren clothing she had borrowed on store credit by the end of the day, or they’ll sue her. Sadly, Rachel had been abusing her employee credit and has replaced all her clothes with Ralph Lauren’s articles.

A stunned Rachel then brings bags upon bags filled with clothes and drops them in front of her boss. She then hesitantly strips down in his office, removing even her underwear and ending up naked. Rachel then walks out of the building in front of all her former colleagues. Out in the street, she scurries to find an open clothing store to buy a new outfit for her now empty wardrobe.
