Chapter 3
And now for the Natives!
The OTHER survivors...
Watching the boats pull up to shore from the fringes of the jungle are three siblings, also in a sense survivors and castaways, and as terrified by what they have witnessed as the survivors of the crash were relived to see land within reach.
Kita and Hilua are fraternal twin girls, both 18, both bisexual, who have long black hair, pale brown skin, and B-cup breasts. This is where the similarities between them end however.
Kita is fiery and feisty, a 'fierce heart', with her face tattooed with bright blue arches and whorls marking her as a warrior. She stands 5'6' and keeps a spear to hand at all times, dressing in quilted cloth armor, even in high summer, and an ever growing collection of boar's tusks. She also is their primary gatherer, climbing trees to cut down coconuts or bananas, or hunting the jungle for pineapple, and occasionally bringing down one of the wild boar that stalk the island's interior and must constantly be kept in check lest they destroy the ecological balance, from whom she takes the tusks she wears.
Hilua is softer and what her culture considers a total 'chick': she is the cook of their group and it's herbalist, as well as spinner, weaver, and dyer. She wears a simple cloth skirt around her waist and a necklace of oyster shells, and nothing else. She stands three inches shorter than her sister, and her sister is not above using this to intimidate her into obedience.
Hikaru is their older brother, 20 years old as of this morning, and is the fisherman of their tribe, the last fisherman of their tribe anyway. He has a outrigger canoe on the other side of the island that he uses to head out to sea and haul in nets full of fish which is their main source of protein. He also is the closet thing they have to a shaman, though his training was never completed, and intercedes with the Haoa, the gods and spirits of the island. He wears a simple cloth wrap about his loins and hips but no other clothing when not conducting a ritual.
These three were once part of a much larger tribe, numbering into their hundreds, who occupied this and a handful of other islands that lie on the horizon on the other side of the island, just out of view of the castaways from the cruise ship, but three months ago something happened.
Kita was sick with a fever and her siblings were tending to her in a sickness hut near the volcanic peak of the island, when from down in the village they heard screams and shouting and the sounds of a battle. Looking down to the shore they saw massive ships, ten times the size of the largest war canoe and their hulls painted all black, but no one aboard, and no sails or oars. Kita tried to rush and join the fighting but she was too sick, ill near to ****, and passed out after only ten steps. Her brother and sister decided that discretion was the better part of valor and stayed with her, watching the strange crewless black ships lower ramps and drag people aboard linked together with ropes. Then black armored beetle men climbed onto and then into the ships and departed: moving towards the horizon faster than any canoe moves except in the fiercest gale with a current beneath it.
When Kita was well enough they went down and searched the village but found no one, and after a week went by canoe to the other islands and found them deserted as well. Their cluture has no taboo against ****, having, other ways, to deal with the negative results of inbreeding, but the siblings still have not begun to think of each other that way, being too occupied with the tasks of survival and their grief still too raw to begin trying to repopulate...
Now, on his very birthday, and his second 'high day' as well, Hikaru had prayed to the Haoa to send them a sign of what they must do, and another of the sail-less, oar-less, black ships had come, but it had come in an unnaturally fierce and short lived storm, and crashed into the barrier reef, sinking. While he had tried to interpret that sign, he had seen two small white boats rowing away from where the demon ship sank, and fetched his sisters down to the shore to watch their approach.
~Who are these strange people?~ Hikaru thinks as the life boats come closer. ~Captives from the demon ship escaped in the confusion? Their clothing is strange but other than that and their outlandishly pale or dark skin and strange hair they look like us, not like those demon things that crewed the other ship.~ Then the boats get close enough to make out individual people clearly and his heart sinks. ~Those boats carry eight people each! Only war canoes are so large, and they run straight and true without an outrigger! This must be some kind of sorcery!~ He thinks in fear.
The three of them continue to watch, transfixed, as the two massive white boats come closer and closer, finally grinding right up onto the black sand of the beach. They are well hidden, they could sneak away and these newcomers none the wiser, but is that what the Haoa want them to do here?
"Now what about those last three fields for names, the ones marked 'extra' 1-3?" I hear you ask?
They are just that, extra! Those are there in case an author wants to have a protagonist character show up who was not with ether of the two starting groups. Perhaps, having gotten the last two lifeboats safely away the captain decided not to go down with her ship after all and broke out one of the windows of the bridge and swam to the surface, fighting sharks and octopus to make it to shore a few hours after the lifeboats, on a different part of the island... Perhaps a couple of months after that a Cessna appears in the sky, but instead of rescuing the castaways it crashes into the sea and they have to rescue the pilot and copilot who join them in their exile? These and ideas like them are what those three 'extra' slots are for.
What do the three siblings do, flee in fear, attack in anger, or greet with friendship?

Teen Island
When a post graduation cruse strands 12 teens on an island that shouldn't be there...
12 teenagers on a mysterious free cruise for 'notable students and teachers' are stranded on an even more mysterious island when there ship crashes into a reef in what should have been open ocean according to the maps and GPS. With them come a slew of complex interpersonal relationships and longstanding feuds, as well as two teachers and crew members, not much older than the students, who must try to keep a lid on the simmering pot of hormones, emotions, ideology, and fear which threatens to destroy any hope of survival that the castaways have. Unbeknownst to the castaways, at least at first, is that the island is already inhabited, by three teenage native siblings, fraternal twin girls and their brother. These people could be the new arrival's saving grace: or their worst nightmare: depending on how things play out...
