Chapter 20 by gargomax gargomax

What's next?

The Morning After

The next morning is just a little bit awkward. "You're sure you don't want to come with us?" Susan asks as you dress.

"Nope!" you answer cheerfully. "You guys are great, but if I stay near you, nobody will challenge me. Challenges are necessary for growth!" Hopefully that didn't sound too pompous. The alternative was "challenges are necessary so I can get laid" which would have been worse.

"But we should do this again sometime!" you continue. "Next time we're in the same Pokecenter!"

"Hah, yeah," Rob says. "I'm not sure how long we'll be here. We were planning to get her first badge here in Viridian, but if Giovanni isn't taking challenges, we might have to rethink. I've already got the Pewter one, but we didn't want to risk Susan losing to Brock..."

"I'm pretty sure I could beat him now!" Susan adds. "But, um. Maybe we should explore Viridian a bit before going back? I'm not sure if I'm up for fighting bug types again today."

"Anything for you, my pet!" Rob pats Susan's head affectionately.

"For me, I'm going to try to get through the forest today!" you say. "But if I fail, I'll hope to see you tonight!"

On that note you take your leave -- back to your own room for fresh clothes.

You check your messages while you're there. @GuardianRob has posted a picture of your threesome last night, and he's tagged you and @SusanIsNice. There's a lively conversation in the comments: there's a @TrainerKarl asking which of you was "the loud one", with replies from both Rob and Susan saying "it was Hazel".

"The loud one?" You feel your face turning red. Are the Pokecenter walls not soundproof?

There's also a comment thread between @GuardianRob and @TallDale, trading stories about how they met you. You can't help but smile at the memory of crawling into Dale's tent.

Finally there are messages from your mom.

@SweetSamantha: What a cute photo! I'll print it out and put it on my refrigerator.
@SweetSamantha: Next to the one with Dale!
@SweetSamantha: your dad says GuardianRob has three badges.
@SweetSamantha: he says don't travel with anyone who's way stronger than you, your pokemon know when you're not standing on your own, they won't level as well
@SweetSamantha: also the comment from Dale says you were cold camping out? the Pokemart should have warm blankets for sale

@SweetSamantha: or sweaters! do you need money for a cute sweater?
@SweetSamantha: love you!

You type out a reply:

@MidnightSnuggler: thanks mom! please don't post topless pics of me on your fridge

and then you sigh, and delete your message without sending. They're public pictures; you're not going to be able to keep them secret. You don't love that everyone who visits your home will see photos of your boobs. But they really are cute pictures.

And you're really glad she doesn't have your threesome photo, mid-orgasm with Team Rocket.

@MidnightSnuggler: thanks mom, I have money. will be sure to get more blankets before camping overnight again. love you back

You consider adding something more, but you check the time and realize you've nearly missed breakfast.

You dash downstairs. Joy hands you your food with a knowing grin. There's only one trainer in the lounge, and she waves you over.

"Hazel, right? MidnightSnuggler?" she asks.

"Yeah!" you agree. "And you're... Julia, right? We met last night?"

"That's right!" she answers. "And should I congratulate you on the threesome?"

You're blushing a bit. "Haha, yeah, um. Sorry about the noise. I didn't realize the walls weren't soundproof..."

She waves it off. "It was early enough that I don't think you kept anyone awake. Though I do think you inspired some late-night masturbation sessions..."

You're blushing more now. "Argh!" you laugh. "I didn't need to know that!"

"You'd better get used to it," she shrugs. "There were four or five trainers here earlier, wanting to meet Hazel The Loud One. But Joy shooed them out. She said no fair lying in wait for the new girl. If they want you, they have to find you on a route."

"But she didn't shoo you out?" you ask.

"I promised not to challenge you. Or even proposition you," she shrugs. "Thought you might need someone to talk to."

"Thanks!" you smile. "...Yeah. Wow. So. Um." It sounds like you're getting a lot of challenges today, and you can already tell how your body feels about that. Trainer after trainer will hunt you down and use your body for his pleasure, and you're getting wet just thinking about it, and that's not the impression you want to make on Julia. You search for a topic change.

"...So, I guess you figured out MidnightSnuggler. Why do you go by BurnBright?"

"Oh!" Julia says. "I'm trying to get pyro powers! You know about pokemon power transfers, right?"

You shake your head.

"The bond between a pokemon and trainer goes both ways," Julia explains. "They get smarter when they're bonded to us, and they share our experiences when they're in the ball. And, in return, sometimes some of their moves come back up the link to us. Watch this!"

Julia flicks her fingers, and nothing happens. She tries again, and again. On the fourth time, she manages a tiny spark of golden flame, which holds flickering between her fingertips for a few seconds.

"See that?" she says. "It's working already!"

You're not sure that you're impressed. "How good does it get?" you ask. "When you scale it up?"

"I'm not sure!" she says. "The gym leaders aren't flashy about it, but you can kind of tell they've got it. Brock's strength and stamina doesn't come from nowhere, Misty's an incredible swimmer, Erika grows flowers with a touch. If I focus hard enough on fire pokemon, I'm sure it'll work for me too!"

"Hey, yeah!" you nod, trying to sound supportive. "So then you can start campfires at night with no effort!"

"Or I can stay warm in cold weather!" Julia continues. "Or... start a grill, and hand-grill all the food!"

You have to smile. "I never knew that was a thing!" you admit. "One more reason to be a trainer, I guess. Is there any way to know what I'm going to get?"

Julia shrugs. "If you specialize in one type, I think the effect is more pronounced. Otherwise, you just generally get a little better at whatever they're best at. What's your starter pokemon?"

"It's... um... Squirtle." Suddenly you have an awful thought.

Julia coughs for a moment. "Squirtle, huh? I wonder what special abilities a Squirtle could give you?"

"Maybe something to do with, um, durability?" you improvise, trying to avoid the obvious answer. "From the, um, the hard shell?"

"Yeah!" she says. "Or... swimming?"

You meet her eyes, and you both break out laughing.

"So..." Julia says. "If it's not too personal a question...?"

"Yeah," you admit. "Yeah, I've squirted. A lot. But I did before I was a trainer, too."

"Hah," she answers. "So there's no way to be sure. Well. I'd say keep me updated, but, well..."

"I'll send you daily updates!" you lie. "With distance, duration, and total volume! For science!"

Julia laughs again. "Please no," she says. "It's fine. Really."

You nod. "So... how about that pokemon thing?" you ask. "Your whole team is fire pokemon, you said?"

"It's a one-pokemon team!" Julia nods. "He's getting lots of experience from doing all the work himself! He's evolved to Charmeleon, even!"

"Dang!" you say. "That sounds hard!"

"It is!" she agrees. "But the payoff will be worth it. As soon as I can get far enough along the Circuit to fill out my team!" She scratches her head awkwardly. "Right now I'm sort of stuck in Viridian Forest. Charmeleon is great against bugs, but it's a maze in there, and they wear me down bit by bit. And when I get challenged, well..."

"Ouch," you nod. "That sounds double hard."

"...Are you doing Viridian Forest today?" Julia asks, only a little bit awkwardly. "I tried teaming up with a male trainer a few days ago, and it didn't go how I wanted. But, if it's us two..."

"I'm doing Viridian Forest, yeah!" you agree. "But, um. I have my own approach to challenges. If any boys get near us, the challenge goes to me first, okay?" You like Julia, but you're not letting her steal your cocks.

Julia nods. "That sounds great!" she agrees. "And I've got some notes on the forest layout. I'm not very far in, but every dead end we can eliminate is more time saved!"

Hmm.

"...Julia?" you ask. "I know someone who I'd bet has really good notes. Would you mind if I called in some help?"

"Is it a boy?" she asks doubtfully.

"Yeah, but he'll be fine," you assure her. "He'll probably challenge, but I'll take care of it..."
