The Lunar Night Stave

“I had placed an order for a Lunar Night Stave.”

“Ah yes!” The older gentleman says excitedly. “That piece arrived just a fortnight ago. If you’ll excuse me, I’ll have to retrieve it from the back”.

As the old man disappears into the back, You browse the other conduits they have on display. While a wand or ring would be far more convenient to carry around from class to class, you have long admired the powerful presence of a seasoned wizard wielding a staff. You were so determined to have a truly special staff that you spent two years working odd jobs, saving away for it.

“Here it is.” The clerk announces as he lays out the staff on his counter. It’s even more impressive than you had imagined. Carved from the dead branch of a Black Ash tree, the staff is as dark as the night sky, with a pearlescent Lycan Stone at its crown. You chose this staff specifically for its special property of amplifying spells cast at night. It’s nearly two meters in length. As you lift it you find that it’s both cool to the touch as well as heavier than it appears. You can feel the magical energy in your veins seeping into the wood and the staff instantly becomes lighter. The stone atop glows a brilliant white color as the staff accepts you as it’s new wielder.
