The Leaky Bucket Request

Having decided to take the request at The Leaky Bucket, Bella rips the request off the board and takes it to the counter to get herself assigned to it. After a short lecture about guild etiquette about just requesting the quest from one of the clerks instead of damaging official forms. Once the little chewing out was done, she was given more info. The Leaky Bucket was having someone rob from their stores at night and no matter what there hasn't been any progress at finding out who or what was stealing stuff. This had been going on for about a month now, and over 200 Lueve has been lost, mainly food and wine, with the liquor being the biggest pain in the ass for the inn owner Stephen.

With the official Adventurer Guild's seal and filled out request form, Bella started heading over to the request area. There she met her clients for the first time since she had rested at a separate inn. Stephen was a large timberwolf kin, a man who was in his middle ages who ran the inn with his son and daughter. The man's grey fur was of a lighter shade than any of his offspring, thinner too, showing off his age. His son Mathis had a more beastly form, being quadruped in comparison to his bipedal family, he was the most bookish of the bunch. They mainly managed the finances with his father while the daughter, Martha, took care of the lug work and also entertaining guest with her pole dancing act. The father son pair also sold exotic candles that could be sold for their wonderful scents or aphrodisiac purposes. Martha joked about not having the patience for making the candles, but enjoyed using them for her shows. She enjoyed the mysticism the smoke gave her acts as the folks jacked and jilled to her act.

After the friendly talk, things moved on to business. Somebody or something had been stealing food from the cellar while the family worked. Even when one of them remained down bellow to keep watch, they weren't able to catch whomever was robbing them blind. They got fed up so they were seeking an extra pair of hands to help them. In return, they would either get 200 Lueve for their efforts or up to a week of free lodging. Since Belle sniffed at the candles, she would also get a a few free used candles. There were assorted scented and aphrodisiac candles in the mix. They could be even used during the job if she wanted. The blonde puppy girl happily accepted those conditions.

Thus the first stakeout began, with Bella hiding out in a small corner of the underground cellar during peak service hours in an unused chest. Keeping her ears to the walls of her confined space, she kept watch of the room, waiting for her time to strike. Soon, she heard some noise without a set of feet coming down the stairs. Someone was shuffling around the wine stores behind her. Taking a chance, the new adventurer slipped out of hiding and rounded off around the shelf beside her towards her target. Near the edge of her hiding spot, she could see the shadow of someone rummaging where they really shouldn't be.
