The Inner Gate.

After clearing most of the outer city of the few Rathkin warriors that actually stood up against you, you made your way to the center of the outer city, towards the one lone bridge which leads to the inner city. You can see your warriors standing off the bridge, glaring and staying down close to the ground as they start to move their way close to the bridge.

You look up and see a handful of Rathkin warriors on top of the walls with bows and arrows armed, launching some randomly into the army. The gate itself was closed and you knew you would need to bring in a battering ram to hopefully bust the gate open. All the while, the warriors on top of the gate will most likely still be shooting arrows down below, killing many of your warriors.

"Alright Warriors." you say with authority "Behind those walls, is the heart of Rathkin. As you probably noticed, there wasn't a whole lot of defense in this outer city." you hear some cheers and groans "Which means, behind this single gate, could be an entire army waiting for us!" more cheers echo out, the Syndicate is hungry for blood "We will take casualties getting inside, we will take casualties when fighting afterwards, it will be a massacre but know that this is for the Syndicate, this is for Rathkin back stabbing us. We will get our ****!" your warriors are going berserk at this point "And remember. We ONLY kill the ones who raise their arms against us. Otherwise, keep them as prisoners." some boos echo out as you know many of these Syndicate warriors would love to sample Rathkin Royalty. "Once we clear out the army, I will lead a **** into the heart of the castle. We will take control of everybody inside, we will take hostage of the King and we will claim Rathkin as our own!!!"

In the mean time, a group of your warriors were wheeling in a giant contraption. Ten wheels, five on each side, the frame just a long rectangle with almost a pyramid on top. Inside that pyramid, a giant tree with a steel spiked ball at the top, looking like a giant mace being hung up sideways on this contraption. Your battering ram that will break down the inner walls and allow access inside.

"Now, shields up. Archers hold strong, try to kill off the warriors. Once we break down this gate, the war will finally begin!" You raise your short sword high in the air.

Turning towards the lone bridge to the inner gate, you move behind the battering ram and help guide it up the path. Many warriors helping you push, but also many just standing on the sides of it as it slowly moves closer and closer to the gate. Warriors and Sunrider's are holding their shields high in the sky to hopefully block any incoming arrows. Arrows from your warriors are shooting over the gates, into the city ahead of you, killing a handful of Rathkin archers but also causing them to duck behind cover.

"Forward!" you yell, pushing the Ram foot after foot. It startles you as you hear screams and bodies falling off the bridge, your warriors getting pelted with arrows and falling to their ****. It angered you even more. "Forward!" You kept commanding, pushing the ram closer and closer.

The sound of arrows whizzing by your head was too close for comfort. You ended up ducking down a little further behind the ram, making sure you were most likely one of the safest warriors here. In front of you was the giant wooden battering ram which would block all your arrows, plus you had a handful of Sunriders and Warriors that were holding their shields up, helping block any attacks that would be shot your way.

The closer you go to the gate, the less the Rathkin archers were able to get at you. Plus, many of them might have gotten shot already since your army was reigning arrows down on them constantly as well. With a loud clunk you feel the ram finally make contact with the door.

"Crank it up!" you order, three warriors on each side of the ram start to turn the crank of the ram, it clicking with each partial turn and with each click the large wooden spike raises backwards a few more inches. The six warriors continue to turn their cranks, again and again and again until the Ram is finally as high as it can go. "RELEASE!" you order which is immediately followed by one of the warriors hitting a switch.

The huge wooden structure with the steel metal spiked ball on top swings down, crashing directly into the inner gate. You see the gate itself buckle slightly, the loud sound of wooden creaking and breaking under just the one hit. "Again!" you yell out, ordering your warriors as the same six once more begin to crank the ram.

You shimmy your way to the side of the ram and make your way towards the main gate. You roll the hood of your armor back up as you get to the front of your army, shrouding yourself in that scary sabre toothed armor. You reach down, gripping your short sword and dagger and pull them out of your waistband, raising them high in the air. Another crunching sound echos out loud as the ram makes contact with the gate once more, followed by the warriors cranking it once again.

"Behind this gate is their last line of defense!" you yell aloud "The moment we have been waiting for, to finally get **** on the Kingdom that betrayed us. Behind this gate, Rathkin falls!!!" you shout.

In the corner of your eye, you see the Ram getting lowered one more time, as the giant wooden structure swings you follow the steel ball with your eyes. This time, as it connects with the gate, it blows right past the wooden structure, the gate itself crashing completely open, wood and dirt flying through the air as the last final line of defense for Rathkin has fallen and the Syndicate can finally flood inside.

"FOR THE SYNDICATE!!!" you scream, pumping your short sword high into the air as you step over the debris, making your way inside the Inner City of Rathkin.

"FOR THE SYNDICATE!" multiple other warriors yell out behind your back, rushing around you to finally get the bloodshed they were hoping for.
