The Honeymoon!

Wayne:

These past few days we have shared in each other's natural delights
But, on other matters, let us now cast light
If not for our object-oriented society would we have met?
I wonder sometimes about the world our future children have not experienced yet
What would the world be like
If object-oriented-living had never picked up hype?

Cathie:

There's no use guessing if we would have met
The flattening of society was a real threat
Imagine if we had not become object-oriented?
The humanization of people could not have been prevented
Society would be dull, and flat
Like a driven-down piece of grass!
Even words on a page would be flat
With no classes to keep them properly intact!

Wayne:

That's what we all were taught
But I wonder sometimes if it wasn't for naught?
We do not seem too dehumanized to me
Why can't we speculate what other changes there might be?

Cathie:

Enough! You know the rules
Speculating about these things is not cool!
Everyone knows procedural life was bad
Questioning that just makes you sound mad

Wayne:

I do not think it is so clear as you
If everyone who questions is thought mad
No one would express such views
How do we know that those who censor are not the real cads?

Cathie:

Maybe they are, but I don't care
If you're not careful, poorly we will fare
I do not want to lose you Wayne
Please don't scare me by breaking the rules again

Wayne:

And I don't want to scare you Cathie
I will try, in future, to not be so sassy
Though, I love my speech, I also love my wife
I will try to make you happy throughout life

Cathie:

And I too want you to be happy
But please don't re-awaken these fears you've allayed
I will support you throughout life
But you must lead me with minimal strife

Wayne:

I'm sure dear Cathie we both understand our roles
Now let us share again in our pleasures, and join our two souls
