Jade spun around on the spot and pulled out her phone. Lining it up right she got Doug in frame over her shoulder and then stuck out her tongue before rolling her eyes up into her skull. She snapped a photo and checked it before smirking as she sent that off to Doug. Glancing across the quad she saw him pull out his phone, frown, almost drop it and then glance around trying to find Jade.

Before he could a swarm of nerds, mostly men but a few women, caught sight of Jade and more importantly her cosplay. They came out of the woodwork, from the science, tabletop gaming, video game and anime club. And a small crowd formed between Jade and Doug, obscuring her from view. They seemed to be grouping about and slowly making their way towards her like a hoard of zombies. Though Jade felt a small thrill from their attention on her. There must have been dozens of them.

"Strut over to Doug. Make sure all eyes are on you," the voice ordered.

Jade almost just goes with the suggestion but was overwhelmed already by all the attention she is getting. It is very different drawing attention in real life vs behind a screen. In real life, people can approach and talk to you… and you can't just ignore their messages or ban them. Jade was like a dear in headlights as the crowd approached her.

"Wow, that's a really cool D.Va cosplay," one of the rather cute women says. "Where did you buy it from?"

"I… borrowed it from a friend," Jade said as the crowd encircled her and more people slowly drifted in to join with her admirers.

"Are you Korean like Hana?" A wheezing but surprisingly tall and handsome nerdy man said as his eyes looked anywhere over Jade's body but her face. "Did you know D.Va is a Starcraft player? I can teach you how to play if you want… make the cosplay more authentic… if you want to come over to my…"

"I'm not Korean…"Jade said feeling very awkward as this guy stepped a little too close to her. "And isn't Starcraft like super old? I don't want to play…"

"She's clearly just a fake fan e-girl thot," a pudgy but actually quite hot looking geeky woman said. "I don't know what the big deal is. So she's wearing cosplay… you idiots are drooling all over her… just step back and let's get back to what we were doing guys. Who needs this cosplay slut? Her boobs ain't even that big… mine are much better…" She murmured the last sentence under her breath.

Jade felt a little anger well up within her. She played video games. She may not be a hard core gamer or anything… but she knew enough to not be considered a 'fake fan'. The voice took this opportunity to speak up…
