Just a quick update to the player character bios to give them a bit more, uh, character. I allowed notifications to go through to assure the handful of you who favorited this that I'm still working on it.

Oh, hello there! I accidentally published this thing way too early. Can you believe that shit? Second time I did it, too. Ah, well, as The Pharcyde once said, "Can't keep running away..."

So welcome to my first stab at both building a fantasy world and creating a complex text RPG; you might notice that I'm painfully aware of how badly both can go. But hey, this website is free, and rubbernecking a trainwreck can be fun, so if Shitpost Central is where this is headed then I'm happy to lead the way.

That said, I also can't help but think I've got something unique on my hands. Admittedly I first wanted to write this as an epic linear narrative, but I've always had trouble writing stories when I don't completely understand the world they take place in. Long story short, having not done any fantasy worldbuilding before, I found the process to be intimidating; meanwhile, I just want to write some sex scenes and relieve some pressure.

CHYOA presents an interesting opportunity; first of all, I've always wanted to make an erotic game, but I have no visual art skills and know exactly zero artists that I'm comfortable asking to draw porn for me. Mainly, however, the loose, collaborative nature of the format forces me to keep things vague and write a little at a time, which gives me more freedom to build out the world as I need to understand it, instead of feeling like I need to account for literally everything about my world before I begin. Plus, I have to admit: I'm more of a fantasy fan in theory than in practice. I dig the Lord of the Rings movies, I've played the Dragon Age games, I fucked around with Skyrim for a couple of hours when it first came out, and that's about it. I'd love to see if and how any true-blue fantasy nerds respond to this. Maybe I can learn something from you guys!

So yeah! Really excited to share this with you all! Just wish I didn't share it before I wrote any, you know, content.

But the content's coming! I plan to finish the intro past character selection, then come back and start filling out this compendium with relevant information. Assuming I haven't scared anyone away by then, I'll start accepting contributors. Until then, feel free to bookmark this story and watch how it develops. I think you're going to really like it!
