Chapter 2
by ucakeordeath
Where is this game of cards against humanity taking place?
The Higgins Community College Cast Party, while Liam is on his laptop
"Liam!" My sister Jayleen barged in. "Where'd you put the box of Cards Against Humanity?"
"Uh, should be in the closet, on the...top right I think?" I shrugged. I had been sitting on the bed in my room through most of my older sister's cast party, contentedly playing Snake on Google.
"Thanks," she nodded and started to leave before changing her mind. "Would you like to play too?"
I pursed my lips, thinking. The prospect of hanging out with Jayleen and her sexy dancer friends wasn't unappealing. Since she'd gotten into musical theater, I had nursed a crush or five for the other girls on the stage, with their long hair and graceful legs, even getting to know them a little since joining Jayleen at Higgins Community College. Cards with them would be fun, but I had another project I was currently working on...
High-pitched laughter from down the hall interrupted my thoughts, so I answered Jayleen's question with another question.
"It's pretty late," I said eying the clock on my dresser. It read 11:45. "Is the party still going?"
"Most folks left. It's just a few of us and a bottle of vodka I hid from Mom and Dad."
"Nice," I nodded, hearing the chime of my laptop as I did. The program I found had finally finished installing.
"Wanna do shots with us?" Jayleen offered, shaking said bottle of vodka with mischievous glee.
"I think...I'll sit this one out," I replied looking down at my laptop as I clicked "Open". "Sorry, I'll join you guys in the living room in a sec. You and your theater friends HAVE your own language, and I feel like I'd just LOSE badly, if I played Cards Against Humanity against y'all," I said half-lying.
"Suit yourself," Jayleen replied, moving to the gaming closet with a swish of her hair to fetch the cards. "But you should come and watch, it'll be fun."
"Sounds good," I gave her a thumbs up before returning to my laptop.
The screen read:
Welcome to RealityGod 2.04. Unlimited power over your world right at your fingertips. Do you wish to proceed? Please note per our terms and conditions, RealityGod is not responsible for any mayhem this program may unleash.
I confirmed and checked the appropriate boxes, listening to more guffaws and squeals from inside jokes down the hall. Per the readme, a list of their names as the closest beings nearby filled the RealityGod screen, along with a text box and options for ways they could be changed. Scooping up the laptop, I made for the living room couch, excited to see what tests I could run on those pretty theater girls while they played their dirty game.
