On the continent of Horsecock, one of the many guilds endorsed by the empire as a promotion for the personal power of its citizens was responsible for handling a monster tide involving both Domestic Monsters and Barbaric Monsters. The initial threat was an invasion of 9 million goblins and other species that breed quickly, stirred by a cabal of Monsters harkening back to their older instincts of destruction and domination. They used these races as cannon fodder so they could draw the adventurers together, allowing them to initiate a bloodbath when the second wave of powerful Monsters arrived, saving many weaker Monster species and allowing them to scatter or fester like mice as Equine's attention was bought, letting the civilians make a profit from this war as their troops stayed behind, garrisoning the fortress towns and cities or evacuating villages.
Things were going to get much worse, but for now, the adventurers believed they were making good coin in a fun yet bloody setting against feral Monsters. There were even artificial dungeons the Monster Cabal had prepared beforehand using necromancy and powerful magic devices they developed in Saignifielt, stopping dispelling spells through overwhelming energy placed in the walls and runes that were too strong to cease or deactivate, forcing adventurers to continuously conquer these underground fortresses and mazes against resurrecting Monsters crafted with the help of the Undead Isles. It was in one of these underground dungeons filled with self-replicating items of varying worth that a party of two came across a chest. The man was a wizard, something rare in this world, but not unheard of; even if he was physically and magically weak, Bruno was an invaluable asset that made it possible for him to party up with Isabella, a beautiful, princess-like maiden with silver hair, big tits, a nice ass, and hidden muscles that made her a rare find, someone capable of defeating a young Orc in a wrestling match. The two made a great team because Bruno knew many spells, but took a long time to cast them. Isabella was strong but often got jumped by multiple Monsters, requiring Bruno to activate one of his 1-use runes he made to put up a barrier or speed up multi-light arrow attacks from the conjuring phase to the unleashing phase.
