The First Mate pulls Fuu aside

The Bravos dispersed throughout the ship, each attending to her own interests though mostly in small groups, since few wanted to be isolated among this group of strangers. Emmaline was perhaps the only exception as she mentioned something about 'meeting up with a friend,' then went off on her own, presumably to search for him.

Fuu found herself with Becky and Skye lingering around on the deck of the ship, taking in the ocean breeze and chatting while they thought about what the next couple of days traveling aboard the ship were likely to bring. Fuu did her best to calm Becky's nerves, and Skye quickly picked up how antsy their friend was as well, though was too shy to ask what it was about directly.

"I think we mostly just have to let the time pass by until we arrive in Hamjin, maybe get to know the ship and crew a bit so we can work with them better when we arrive." Fuu was saying. She leaned against the ship's railing, her naginata propped up next to her. "You work best alone, though. So you don't even really have to talk to anyone if you don't want to." the thought seemed to give Becky at least a little peace of mind.

"You are Fuu, leader of our new guests... is that correct?" A lighter male voice called their attention. Fuu looked up to see an elven man with long hair and a slim build watching her. He had a presence that almost felt arrogant, like he was looking down his nose at them. Fuu stood up fully. It would be best to handle this man with grace.

"I am." Fuu said.

"My name is Thornton Caldridge. I act as first mate and second in command aboard this ship." his voice softened, an arrogant smile on his lips as he spoke quietly, yet confidently enough that Fuu was **** to strain herself a bit just to hear him. "I'm afraid there is something which I must discuss with you. Urgently and in private." He looked Skye up and down, his eyebrows tending a bit toward a scowl.

"It would be rude of me to turn you down, wouldn't it?" Fuu said. She stepped forward and gestured for him to lead the way.

"Indeed." Thornton responded. Fuu gave a quick smile to the other two women before following Thornton up the stairs to a door not far from the captain's quarters. He opened it, and ushered her inside.
