The Final Staff Member

Rachel really wasn’t looking forward to this, but knew that it was going to happen eventually. At least they were nice enough to wait until after her date.

“Ok, fire away. What do you want to know about him?” Olivia was first to speak.

“So, from what I can tell, he’s pretty dense. How did you get him to notice your feelings?” Rachel bit back a sassy remark and sighed.

“Don’t bother with trying to drop hints or being overly subtle, it won’t work. The only reason he figured out that I was into him was because I straight up kissed him. If you want something, just tell him. Don’t beat around the bush.” Much to Rachel’s annoyance and amusement, Angel was literally taking notes.

“What’s something that we should avoid bringing up? Like anything that might trigger a trauma response?” asked Stella.

“That’s a really smart question actually. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an easy answer. There is one moment that really traumatized him, but I don’t think there’s anything in particular that triggers him about it. Well, dumpsters, but I severely doubt that we will find one here.” A few people almost chuckled, but fought it back.

“No, I’m not telling you what happened, that’s for him to say. As for touchy subjects, he lost his mom to cancer, so please no cancer jokes or I WILL punch you. Yes, we have met plenty of people who make cancer jokes and yes, I have punched all of them. It’s a bit of a touchy subject for me as well.” Rachel actually wiped a tear from her eye. “Um, can we move on please.” Thankfully, Fiora was there for that.

“What’s his favorite color?” Everyone looked at her funny. “What, it’s good to know. If I want to catch his attention, I should wear his favorite color.”

“Well, the answer isn’t as simple as you might think. His favorite color is purple, but his favorite color on me is red. Knowing him, he’ll probably have a different favorite color on all of you.” Hailey couldn't help but chuckle at that.

“Yep, that sounds like him.”

“What are his hobbies?” asked Angel.

“Well, as you guys know, he loves to write. He’s also really into theater, which is also pretty well known. Besides that, he loves both gaming and being out in nature. I never really got that into gaming, so maybe that is something that you guys can connect with him on.” Stella and Angel seemed to perk up a bit after hearing that.

“Not surprising about the nature thing. He was great at the summer camp,” said Olivia.

“Oh, you mean the summer camp full of kids that you tried to seduce him at,” snapped Rachel, the words escaping her before she could stop them. Olivia looked absolutely flabbergasted.

“Hold on a minute. I’ll have you know that any moves I made were after hours and far away from the kids. It was a day camp, so I would only flirt with him AFTER the kids left. And I backed off as soon as I found out about you. Geeze, I didn’t think your opinion of me was THAT low.” Rachel growled and stood up while slamming her hand on the table.

“YOU WERE HIS BOSS! What you did wasn’t that far off of a boss demanding sexual favors from their employees. Hell, if your genders were reversed, you would have been kicked out in seconds!” Olivia was doing her best impression of a fish, opening and closing her mouth in the shape of an o.

“Rachel, I think you’re being a little harsh,” said Morgan. Rachel took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“Maybe I am. But my point still stands. Sorry girls, but I’m done answering questions. He’s really not that hard to figure out as long as you don’t beat around the bush.” With that, Rachel stormed away. The other girls felt very uncomfortable sitting there.

“I hate to admit it, but she has a point. A boss flirting with their employees isn’t exactly right, even if it is after hours,” said Hailey. Olivia hung her head and sighed. The others left her alone with her thoughts. All of them looked unsure about the rest of their day, all but Angel.

When David and Jennifer arrived at the area where all of the stores were at, they walked straight through the middle and up to the Master’s Shop.

“I wonder what it’s going to look like,” said Jennifer.

“Me too. But I also wonder who’s running it,” said David. He opened the door, and they looked around. The shop wasn’t actually that big, and wasn’t too stuffed with different things. There were some bondage and sex toys on the shelves, as well as cards with transformations on them. There were some clothes too, but not very many.

The most eye-catching thing was the statues of eight naked women, one for each contestant, in the back of the store behind the desk. And standing at said desk, was the shop keeper.

The strange woman was just staring at them, not making a sound.

“Um, hello?” questioned David.

“Hello Master, and welcome to your personal shop,” she said, giving him a slight bow which showed off a lot of cleavage.

“Um, thank you. So, what’s your name?”

“I am Sora, but you can call me whatever you like, Master.” There was something about the way that Sora was speaking that made Jennifer uneasy, so she wrapped herself around David’s arm.

“You don’t have to keep calling me Master. Just David is fine.” But Sora shook her head.

“I’m sorry Master, but I cannot. I’m afraid that Master is the only thing I can call you.” David was about to question when he heard another voice.

“It’s one of her transformations.” He turned around and saw that Nyx had walked in with the other shop keepers behind her.

“Oh, you must be the shop keepers. I-” Alear cut him off.

“We know who you are. You’re this season’s Master. My name is Alear. The slutty one is Nyx, the elf is Aika and the fancy one is Akita.” David took a second to take in all those names before responding.

“Ok, that’s a lot to remember at once. It’s really nice to meet all of you. And please, just call me David.”

“And I’m Jennifer. I heard that all of you have already met Fiora and Hailey.” Aika and Akita smiled at the mention of Fiora.

“Yes. Speaking of that adorable girl, can you give this to her?” asked Nyx as she held out a note. “I made her very uncomfortable yesterday, and I want to apologize. I know some people claim to always have sex on the mind, but I literally do.” David chose not to question and took the note.

“Yeah, I’ll get it too her. So, you mentioned a transformation. Were you guys on a previous season?” asked David.

“Yeah, we were. It was running when the Director took over Harem Hotel. Our host cursed us with multiple transformations in her final moments,” said Aika.

“Most of them weren’t too bad, as she didn’t have much time. But, well, she really went after Akita and especially Sora,” said Alear. Her cheery tone didn’t match what she was saying at all. David turned back to Sora and saw that she was crying.

“Sora, are you ok?” asked David. She smiled and wiped her eyes.

“Yes Master, I am fine. One of my transformations is that I can only speak when first spoken to by a Master. This is the first time I have spoken in many years.” Jennifer jumped over the desk and gave Sora a hug. This shocked the maid, but she didn’t pull away.

“Sora, that’s terrible. I’m sorry. I’ll try to make a point to talk to you every day.” Sora’s eyes widened at this.

“Oh, Master, you don’t have to do that. I am merely a member of your staff, not one of your girls. You don’t have to concern yourself with me.” Jennifer shook her head.

“It’s too late now. Besides, are you really going to say that him taking a few minutes to talk to you is such a bad thing.” Of course, Sora couldn't verbally respond to her, but she could softly smile. David then turned to the other four women.

“So, um, are you guys **** to always be in your shops, or do you get to live your own lives?” he asked. Alear couldn’t help but laugh at how nervous he was.

“We get teleported to our shops when we’re needed there. Otherwise, we have an area on the grounds just for us. It’s not too bad, unless we get caught with our pants down.” This made David feel a lot better.

“Of course, we can always teleport here by choice, or you can summon us with your phone. When Sora got teleported, we came along to meet you,” said Nyx before she looked David up and down. “And I gotta say, you look very tasty.” Akita rolled her eyes and stepped on Nyx’s foot.

“Ignore her. Like she said, sex is literally always on her mind,” said Aika.

“So, why is it that Sora and Akita got it so much worse than the rest of you? If it’s ok to ask of course,” said David. Akita spoke up for the first time.

“It fine. Racist host. That why she not like me.”

“Most hosts pick out one or two contestants as a punching bag, usually the contestants with the most natural resistance to the show. That was Sora,” said Alear. David’s fists clenched.

“Your host wasn’t Esmeralda, was it?” This actually made the girls break out laughing.

“No, god no. If you think she’s bad, you have no idea how bad a host can get,” said Aika. David let out a sigh of relief. He then looked over at Sora, who seemed to be in a better mood.

“Well, like I said, I’ll try to talk to you at least once a day. I’m guessing your number is in my phone.” Sora beamed at him.

“Yes Master, all of ours are. And thank you for doing this for me.” David gave her a charming smile.

“Well, I actually had another reason to come here. I know I can do this off the phone, but I wanted to meet you anyway. I want to buy one of the transformations that I didn’t get.” This made Jennifer raise an eyebrow.

“Of course Master. Which transformation do you want?” asked Sora.

“6th Sense. I want to be able to help my girls when they need it.” Jennifer couldn’t help but chuckle.

“That is so like you. But eh, we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Of course you can, Master. That will be 15 BP. If you want, you can also buy Unbreakable Contract for only 25 BP total.” David took a second to think before shaking his head.

“No thanks, I’ll stick to just 6th Sense.” Sora nodded and processed the purchase.

Once the purchase was processed, David grabbed his head in pain.

“Wow, that was a lot. It’s like I can get a read on how everyone is feeling. Lets see, Rachel is upset, but I can’t help with that. And so is Olivia, but I also can’t help her. Ok, I think this will become very helpful in the long run.”

“You know, now that you’re here and you need to spend a bunch of BP, you might as well buy some clothes,” suggested Jennifer.

“Alright, might as well. Maybe we can all get to know each other better.”

So that’s what David spent the rest of the morning doing. In the end, he didn’t buy much, but he still got to know his staff a lot better.
