Channeling the energy of the, what team was it, the Tigers? Coursing from her head to her legs, Daniela sprinted her final dash. She ran like a blur towards the mall exit, almost crashing head-on with a small ice cream stand in the middle of the hallway. Using the lack of friction to her advantage, Daniela drifted barely out of the way from the stand, Although her elbow did bump a cone into the ground.
“Hey, come back here and clean this up!” the clerk demanded. But Daniela hadn’t the mood, nor the time, to stop for anything. She kept sprinting, barely getting into the sliding door and the street outside.

Daniela didn’t stop out in the open. She crossed the street and kept going for a full block before arriving at her home. For once, she was grateful she forgot to lock the door as she went inside. She took a deep breath and tossed the cap into the floor, letting go of all her pent-up frustration and embarrassment. She was finally home. Her horrible walk of shame was over. Now, she could finally take a long shower, go to sleep, and try to pretend this day never happened.
