The Dungeon - Level 2 - part 3

Aurora

Aurora could feel it, the moment the empathic waves that formed her information network throughout the lodge were infected by something else. The taste of it on her tongue was dried blood and the sour tang of madness, not B-Rabbit..that thing had a taste all of it's own. Madness...madness and blood...

The Homonculus's eyes widened. No, that thing was supposed to be locked away in the deepest depths to only be encountered once her contestants were Masters of their abilities. The Black Knight should never have been unleashed this early. Aurora rose to her feet and with a flick of her wrist, faded into the shadow behind her and raced through the lodge as fast as a racecar, the shadow stuff she was made of flickering through the corridors and rooms without pause in their race for the Dungeon of the Vampire Queen.

Charlotte

Charlotte had closed her eyes bracing for pain, but after a long moment when she had not been struck she once more opened her eyes to find herself looking up at an incredibly tall redheaded woman. Easily as tall as Aurora herself wearing a black dress, her impressive breasts contained by the fabric only by monumental effort. The Black Knight had both hands on her sword, having intended to deliver a two handed blow down onto Charlotte with the full **** of the Knight's body, but the redhead had stopped the blade with one hand.

"Hello dear, I'm Shar. I don't know if Aurora has ever mentioned me but I'm one of her friends and a host on a different season. The one Tracy's from.." The Black Knight started wrenching at the sword in Shar's hand and the tall woman huffed a little before she seemed to change position without there having been any movement in between. The Black Knight was now embedded in a two metre deep crater across the length of the room and Shar was now stood with one fist outstretched, knuckles slightly grazed.

Charlotte staggered to her feet as Shar turned a little bit more to smile down at her, a low grunt of rage and pain coming from the Black Knight being answered by Shar driving the creature even further into the wall with a concentrated bolt of lightning. "Now then, I think you better head back out with Miss Sparrow. I need to return this thing to it's containment and make sure Aurora gets it back. Good luck dear."

Helping the woozy Delilah to her feet, Charlotte was grateful for her enhanced strength as she staggered through the reopened door. Just before she could leave the room though, Delilah’s sword with the buckler strapped to the handle appeared back in the sheath at Delilah’s waist. “Do try not to lose that dear, it took me quite some time to fold the enchantments into the steel. Charlotte just had time nod in thanks and to see Shar using concentrated bolts of lightning to smash the Black Knight into the walls, floor and ceiling repeatedly as she rounded the corner and went out of sight.

Aurora

When a woozy looking Delilah and a nervous Charlotte met Aurora it was just past where the Shambling Mound had been dispatched. Aurora faded out of the shadows on the wall and was almost frantic as she looked over the two young women, only seeming to breath a sigh of relief when she realised that neither of them were badly hurt.

"I apologise for that encounter Charlotte and Delilah, the Black Knight should not have been anywhere in this Dungeon and should have been level locked. I am going to be shutting down this dungeon until I can work out quite how the Knight was released in here...so please have these in apology for this mistake.

Cleared level 2 and 3 of the Dungeon of the Vampire Queen. Loot gained:

4x Full Restore Potions, 2x Heroes Journey Journeyman Pack (Mage), Heroes Journey Apprentice Pack (Warrior), Heroes Journey Journeyman Pack (Warrior), Armour of Silvered Steel, Bracers of Dawn
