The Date

The car ride was a little awkward as you gave each other side glances then looked out the window. Eventually the car stops outside of the local diner see that there’s only a handful of students there. You gather everyone was sent to different spots as to not overcrowd.

You’re greeted by a hostess and guided to a table, left with a couple of menus then given some time to decide what you want to order.

‘So…” Julia started “We’re a match”

“Yeah, I couldn’t believe it when it paired us, still having some trouble believing it now to be honest with you.”

“How come?” She asked, tilting her head to the side.

“Oh come on, you’re the hottest girl in school, you should be way out of me league”

“Hey now, don’t beat yourself up. You are an extremely good looking guy, you’ve helped some of my cheer buddies on more than one homework assignment and I for one am really looking forward to getting to know you.”

You look at her, shocked for a moment, before regaining your composure and telling "I really look forward to getting know you to. Alright, what do you want to know?"

"Well first of all, what college do you want to go to?"

"Well, I really want to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology but I would probably just end up going to a local community college."

"How come?"

"It's highly unlikely I'll get a scholarship since there are infinitely better candidates than me, and my parents won't be able to put me through since we don't have enough money..."

"Well if those are the only two things stopping you don't worry about it, My dad is a successful and well respected business man. I can get him to send them a letter of recommendation and you'll get that scholarship 100%"

"You would do that for me?"

"Absolutely. You're my boyfriend after all. I want to see you follow your dreams. Besides, M.I.T is only like a one hour drive so we can still see each other on a regular basis."

"Right well that's enough about me, where do you want to go to college?"

"I'd probably just go to community college and get a part time job at my dads company. He could probably get you a job there once you finish college. He pays really well."

"What company does your dad run exactly?"

"He owns the local hotel chain. they net about 7mil a year. Anyway your turn. What do you want to know about little old me? I'm an open book"
