The Control Freak, the Pushover, and their Arrangement

Zoe was a pushover. Alva was a control freak. They were a perfect fit ever since they first met in grade-school.

Alva needed to study for something, then Zoe did too. Alva needed an extra dollar for a latte, Zoe had a dollar. When Alva realized she was a lesbian, Zoe had to be a lesbian too.

She was. A lesbian, that is. But it would have been inconvenient if she wasn't.

Zoe had her first kiss when Alva needed to practice kissing when she was going to ask out the girl she liked to prom.

While a part of Zoe resented Alva and herself for letting such a lopsided relationship go on for so long, the rest of her grew to love it.
