Chapter 4 by CrimsonMonarch
What Catches Judgement's Eye?
The Cellphone
"Well, no better place to start..." She comments as she reached for the phone.
Judgment turned the screen on, seeing that it needed a password. She signed for a second before focusing her eyes on the marks on the screen left by the owner, using them to type.
With the phone unlocked, her attention was drawn to the notification of missed messages.
They talked of a reunion of sorts that would happen in a couple of days, at a club not far from the alley that they found the dealer.
After that point, it became a tread of questions that were all variations of "where are you?", follow by messages with only an interrogation in them, and ending with message saying that the sender deleted the number.
Well, what Judgment got should be enough. Now, the prosecutor duo had a lead...
...
"So, this is the place, huh?"
"Yeah..."
Judgment and Justice were at the place the messages specified, seeing the club from a bench on the other side of the road.
The location, the neon lights, the signature neon sign with a woman throwing her legs in the air. Yep, that was a strip club, alright...
According to other conversations the dealer was having, this club in particular was managed by someone who had very high connections to the mob.
Add the fact that the mob was aware that they are being hunted, it means that if they messed this up, their only chance of getting to the boss will probably go down the drain.
So, they had to approach this differently. More specifically, Justice and Judgment would have to sneak in without causing a fuss.
"Any ideas?" Judgment turn to Justice who was 'reading' a newspaper... upside down.
Judgment though about it. "Going up the roof, look a back entrance, perhaps..." She threw a few ideas that popped up in head as Justice only listened. "There's seems to be a show coming up, so their attention will probably be focused, there..."
"...heh."
Judgment side eyed her mentor when she heard her chuckle. 'Oh lord...' was all she could think when she realized that Justice's smile just turned into a devious smirk.
The ex High Prosecutor closed the newspaper and placed it on her lap before throwing one arm around Judgment, bringing the younger girl closer to her.
"Y'know, I just thought of something, but I'm not sure you'd be down for it."
"W-wha?" She instinctively tried to move away, but Justice's arm kept the pupil in place.
"Look, your the one wearing the High Prosecutor's pants now, so I'm basically just along for the ride. If you already got something, I won't even question it..."
Judgement was at a lost for a second. Was is this some sort of test or something? Was Justice testing how her replacement would handle the situation?
She shock the thoughts out her head. She didn't had time for that!
"Well... wanna hear it?"
Go with Justice's plan, or figure something out?
