The Bully

Gretchen was the biggest bully at Swatmore Boarding School for young ladies. Turning 18 made her worse as her wealthy parents gave her a large cash gift for her birthday and it made Gretchen more stuck-up.

Gretchen was not only a stuck-up bully, but she was very smart and made sure none of her bullying or meanness was ever done where she could get caught and punished. Not only that, but since her parents were major donors, any time a fellow student told her on, and it was her word against Gretchen's, the dean of students always sided with Gretchen with "innocent until proven guilty," and Gretchen was always careful not to leave evidence or witnesses she did not intimidate.

Gretchen did have one major problem. She really wanted to go to an Ivy League school, and she had been telling everyone since 9th grade she was going, so to have a blemish on her record such as bullying could ruin her chances.

Miss Youngblood, the senior English teacher was the nicest teacher at the school, and the students who felt shy or out of place knew she would listen to them, and she believed them about Gretchen.

One day, when one of the girls came in crying with a towel around her head. Someone had put Nair in her shampoo, and her thick, silky dark hair had come out in clumps. She knew Gretchen was behind it because Gretchen had been waiting outside the shower when the girl came screaming out.

After consoling the crying, half-bald girl, Miss Youngblood formulated a plan to finally put Gretchen in her place.
