The Breakfast of Champions

“Guys.” Helen gathered up her fellow contestants before they could go too far. Their dopplegangers were all being escorted to their suites, not too dissimilar from how they'd been treated on their first night. "I know we're all getting ready to kill each other, or whatever, but... I want us to have breakfast together. Just like we did that first week. The food won't be as good without Nzinga, but I think we have to at least try to come to a truce, before we rip eachother's throats out."

Olympias smiled. Helen was being a leader. "I'm in, Mary and Cleopatra will be there as well."

Mary rolled her eyes. "Happy to be there Princess." Her transformations were clueless to the sarcasm. They rewarded her subservience with pleasure, urging her to do that more.

Elizabeth had returned to her gentle persona. "I can't." She wiped a tear from her eye, as she looked over to Ferenc. "I can't eat without one of you doing something to me, so I'll be where the gang is."

Helen addressed the others now. "Save The World Society, will you come, or do you need time to think of how to fuck the rest of us over?"

Boudica rolled her eyes. "Ooooh it's sounds like we're going to get such a friendly reception."

The eight contestants were brought down to the club for breakfast. Olympias made sure to enter last, so she could once again hear the sweet debasement of her slaves, as they struck their humiliating poses, and praised Olympias. Elizabeth and Eve both eagerly choked down mimosas . Their brains eased the pressure on their skulls. For Elizabeth it was completely, for Eve it dulled some otherwise unbearable pain. She'd need more. She missed her Gluttony clone already, but she'd replaced it with her Envy clone. The audience had proven to be unimpressed with the offers Envy had as far as traits go, and so Eve found little relief in this decision. It did however let her not be a mind controlled sycophant for the day. He clone had run off to the store, eager to spend their hard earned points on a gift for Helen.

Oh, speaking of which. "Helen, I gots a gift fer ya." Eve played at being more drunk than she was, just a silly thing. She produced a sex toy shaped like a dog's penis. Cleopatra felt she at least owed the girl her ear. "What do you have in mind?"

Helen raised her hand. "I renounce winning, I renounce the throne, I renounce the wish. I have enough points that I'll be happy with my new life. If Erica, Eve, and Cleopatra all throw the match, then they'll each get points and Erica and Cleopatra will be over be over 100 points. From there we just need to get Mary, Eve, Elizabeth, and Olympias over the edge. We can do it. We can all make it out, we just have to stop being so cruel to each other."

"If we do that, Erica wins." Cleopatra crossed her arms.

"Yes. Erica wins, and no one loses. Can't that be good enough for you?"

"I want that prize." A glint of gold tinted Cleopatra's eyes.

"Shit." Helen forgot about that transformation, Cleopatra had to give it her all. "This only works if we're all working together."

"We're not, I'm afraid." Elizabeth was stirring her eggs around, predictably disappointed with it's flavor. She needed to eat Erica out first, the Ph would help. "I like your idea just fine, but my other half won't go for it. I don't want to disappoint you."

"It's not going to work." Olympias announced. "And I'm not going to let you give up. You can still win."

"You don't get to decide." Helen's voice was surprisingly firm. "I'm not one of your slaves."

"Helen I..." Olympias looked hurt.

"Fine." Helen stood up, and picked up her doggy dildo. "If you all want to eat each other alive, fine. But leave me out of it.”

"Wait." Eve held up her hand. "I have something to say."

Even then proceeded to speak the language crafted for her and Adam by the angels. The first language, the perfect language. Each girl transferred 10% of their points to Helen, raising her to first place with 161 points. She'd just gained the single largest infusion of VP any contestant had ever gotten on Harem Hotel. It knocked Cleopatra out of the safe zone, and She'd all done it willingly.

This was no mind control. This was empathy, the kind that humans were once capable. This is the language that built towers to the heavens. For a brief moment they just… understood.

"I get it." Erica said softly. "If I loved anyone like you love us..."

The table nodded, somewhat dully. Their minds were no longer capable to taking in the full depth of that language. They were all shaken and confused by it's resonance.

Helen's mind was working a little sharper, her intellect now that of a genius as she sat in first place. She looked shocked. That's not what she wanted, not at all.

Eve explained to the table that they should leave, so she could explain her position to Helen. They all agreed and left. But with the promise that they would return for breakfast tomorrow.

"Why?" The confines of Helen's now sharp mind, were trying to see what Eve's angle could be. "Why not do that to yourself? With my points you'd be a 105, third place. You could easily catch up, and..."

"Because I want you to win Helen." Eve smiled.

"Why?"

"Weeks ago, Joan came to you, and asked you to join our team."

"I refused."

"You said you didn't want to be a tool in another god's game."

Helen nodded. "I still don't."

Eve smiled. "I'm not Joan. I'm not doing this fod God, I'm doing it for my children."

"Then you should have kept the points, you saw what I did to my child."

"You can save her. From Satan, from this show, from yourself if you have to."

"Joan told me what you wanted to wish for."

Eve nodded. "At the very least, don't you think that the wish should go to the person that wants it the least?”

That made Helen laugh. "Yes I do. It shouldn't go to Erica at least, not this Erica." She caught a look in Eve's eye. "I'm sorry about that by the way, I know you two were close."

"I was prepared for all the pain this show has given me... I just didn't consider having to see other people suffer too."

"She seems happy at least."

"Like a pig in mud."

That made Helen grin. "I just don't understand. why me? You had a fighting chance if you'd done it for yourself."

Eve shrugged. "You caught my attention today. You seem like you've grown up."

"I feel like I've been hollowed out."

"Sometimes they're the same. But look at you, after you've been battered, and stripped, and laid bare. What's left of you? No ego, no joy, no hope..." Helen lowered her head. "But you still want to help everyone make it to 100. You're the Hero Helen, not Erica, not Boudica, not Me..."

"Eve stop, you're amazing. You just got the whole game to give up their points for gods sake."

"It's true." She gave Helen a smile. "But a good parent knows when her children have succeeded her, and when it's time to pass on the torch. I leave the human race in your hands Helen, Mother of The New World."

Helen liked the sound of that. "Are you leaving?"

Eve shook her head. "I'll be here to see you, don't you worry."

Helen chewed on her lip. Did she have any fight left? "So what's the wish? What did you guys decide on?"

"We never talked about it."

that surprised her. They were so confident in their cause and they didn't even know what their wish would be? "How can that be? You didn't even discuss it?"

"I guess we just trusted that we'd each find a way."

Helen shook her head. "I heard the wish is pretty powerful. I'd be giving up a lot just to help people I've never met. People who'd never appreciate it."

"Yes." Eve smiled again, and it was the biggest Helen had ever Seen. Suddenly she realized that she'd just been inducted in a club, and Eve had been the only other member for a million years. That smile was the brilliant release of finally having someone to understand you. "Is there a more thankless job than that of a mother?"

At last Helen smirked, her decision made. "No there's not."
