Chapter 7 by NeedAMedic NeedAMedic

What part of the Manor do the Bravos visit first?

The Bravos head inside, but they are being watched

The Bravos made their way through the grand courtyard that marked the entryway to the Manor, their eyes focused straight ahead, largely ignoring the impressive assortment of carefully manicured topiaries and exotic plants from across the world. Well, Becky might've strayed a bit from the group, when a particularly rare and useful plant happened to catch her eye, but they still stuck together until reaching the wide open doors that lead into a grand receiving chamber, filled with guests quietly chatting among themselves, wine glasses in hand.

Nearly everyone in the place was dressed to the nines, vividly colored clothes, often with gemstones set into the very fabric. Luckily, with their well done up gowns, the Bravos fit right in.

As they moved about, the Bravos were entirely unaware of sets of eyes, watching them from behind masks and out of shadowy corners of the room. Someone here was already away of their goal, and he was ready to put a stop to it.

Their mysterious voyeur knew that taking them down in the open, in the middle of the party would not only be incredibly hard, but would sow unnecessary chaos among the party guests. Of course, Lady Dieudonne would be furious as well if he commanded a full on **** in the middle of her party, and he was ever at the whim of his mistress's commands.

He would try to separate them, to get the Bravos each alone without arousing suspicion from them. He was also aware of a slightly smaller troublemaker who would be arriving at the party shortly, but he doubted he would have much trouble dealing with her alone.

The spymaster proceeded toward Lady Dieudonne's chambers-- they Lady should be quite pleased indeed to hear the news that the Bravos had arrived under his ever watchful eyes. It was moreso a courtesy visit than anything else-- he had already received full clearance to do anything necessary to keep the Diadem safe, alongside clear instructions taht the Bravos were to be captured, not killed, and suffering as little harm as possible. The restrictions were perhaps a bit silly, but the challenge was part of what made this so much fun.
