The Bravos explore the abandoned temple

The first thing the three noticed when they stepped through the broad, stone temple doors, was how clean this place was for a supposedly abandoned temple. Despite the rugged and weathered exterior, the grand chamber of the temple was nearly spotless.

The main space was filled by a large, open chamber, lined with numerous altars to the various Gods. Emmaline found herself breathing a sigh of relief as she recognized the great divine dragon among their number. Surely a place that worshiped evil would have no need for a statue of one of the most righteous of the Gods.

As Fuu looked about, she felt a sense of peace washing over her. This was a sacred place after all. Perhaps she would spend some time meditating, asking a favor of the Gods that they might use to rescue Liv.

Robin was the only one to notice the abnormalities of the temple. For one, all the stone and pillars, every rock used to build this place, seemed to have a slight greenish hue. For another, the statues of the Gods weren't quite as they probably should be. They were well decorated and maintained, but each seemed to have a serpentine twist, such as snakes around the bases of statues, symbols made from coiling snakes, and even votive statues of snakemen and nagas.

Unfortunately, Robin was probably the least versed in such matters of the three, and she paid the irregular design little mind, instead letting her brain wander back to a daydream of the party she was sure they were going to have when they finally rescued Liv.
