The Bog Clans

You don't know an awful lot about the Bog-Dwellers but neither does anyone else really. They are the least nomadic of the clans and rarely leave their dark bogs except occasionally to join with a different clan or to mate.

The Hell-Boar do not stalk the bogs as they do the other lands and so living there has spared the Bog Clans from having to encounter that particular predator.

From what you have heard they are instead constantly having to ward off the Bjonsí also known as the Song-Spirits, and having to defend themselves from Rot-Rats and Wights. On a few rare occasions the numerous predatory plants of the bogs will claim a life or two but more often than not starvation is what claims the lives of these people. Food sources in the bog lands are scarce at the best of times, yielding only large (and sometimes dangerous) amphibians like the Lurker Toad and the Mud-Jaw, as well as small birds and mammals like the Rot-Rat.

Thinking back there are only two Bog-Dwellers whose names and stories have reached your ears.

Vredda the Shadowed was the only person to have ever survived hearing the song of a Bjonsí, a feat that was thought impossible by everyone, including herself. She later learned how to guard herself from the Bjonsí by using the old magic to create wards around her ears. She died when she heard a Lurker Frog mimicking the sound of a Bjonsí song, thus proving the song is deadly from any source.

Zeitsya the Proven is the only Ardri alive capable of healing with the old magic. She used it once to save a child that was badly bitten by a Mud-Jaw. This was of course considered taboo by some because her use of healing prevented things from taking their natural course.

She was among the first to gather for the exodus after your victory. She has dark, short hair and fair skin. She's of average height for a female of the Ardri, standing about 5'11 and weighing about 140 pounds. Her breasts are a large B-cup, and the rest of her features are so thin and delicate that you wonder how she has survived this far.

The more you think about the wetlands, the more you think about what you know of the creatures that live there...
