The Black Lynchers arrive in town.

Despite her concerns for the coming day Lisa eventually fell asleep. She awoke the following morning with the sun barely breaking the horizon.

Lisa got up and got herself ready for the day. She then went downstairs to make breakfast for herself and the kids. She also boiled some water for coffee.

Beth and Billy were woken by the smell of Lisa's cooking and quickly came down to join Lisa in the kitchen for breakfast. Lisa and the kids ate in silence, an air of anticipation hung heavily in the room.

Lisa and the kids had just finished breakfast when a series of shots rang out. Beth went pale and teared up. Lisa took Beth's hand and gave it a reasuring squeeze.

"The Black Lynchers?" Lisa asked.

"Yeah." Billy answered. "We need to get to the Laughing Man."

Lisa and the kids made their way to the Laughing Man. Billy took with him the ledger from the stables. At the Laughing Man Lisa and the kids waited to present the ledger to the Lynchers.

In front of the cashiers cage was a table. Either side of which were 2 men each armed with winchesters. Behind the desk sat a bald man with spectacles. He was unarmed.

Off to one side stood a sixth man. He was dressed all in black. A thin moustache on his top lip and a tuft of hair on his chin. Twin colts in crossdraw holsters hung at his hips. His thumbs hooked behind the buckles of his gunbelts.

Lisa realized that this must be John Delvers. As Billy took the ledger to the table Lisa cast a glance at the balcony. The three guards were present with their winchesters, but were watching the towns people rather than the Black Lynchers.

After all the businesses had presented their respective ledgers and handed over the requested amount of money, John Delvers spoke for the first time.

"Is that everyone?" he asked.

The bald spectacled man nodded.

"Then lets get a poker game going." John said indicating the waiting poker tables. "Do we have any volunteers?"
