Text Kristy for help

The more Jacob thought about the task in front of her, the more she realized, even with the assistance from her future self, it just felt like too much for one person to do.

Of course, she thought, I don't have to do it alone, do I? With a sudden spark of bravery, Jacob pulled out her phone and brought up Kristy's contact info. Wow...I haven't messaged her since that project we worked on together at midterms. Hoping this wouldn't seem completely out of the blue, she texted Kristy.

To her surprise, she got a response fairly quickly.

She didn't...seem upset? Taking a deep breath, Jacob decided to just go for it.

<This might be kind of out of nowhere, but I kind of need to talk to someone about something important

<And...you're kind of the only person I can think would be up for listening?

The little dots that showed she was typing appeared and disappeared a few times, before finally she sent a response.

Celerino's was a pizza place, not far from the dorms. In fact...at most, it was maybe ten minutes away. Why did she ask for twenty minutes? Deciding not to wonder about that too much, Jacob left the fairgrounds, then drove over to the restaurant, arriving well before the agreed upon meeting time.
