Casually

While waiting, Jacob spent the entire time on her phone, searching about how to start HRT. She'd looked up what it did before, telling herself at the time it was idle curiosity and not a burning interest she was denying herself in exploring, but never how to get it. Luckily, her state apparently would let her start it by going to a nearby clinic and just saying she wanted it. No psychologist note or having to "prove" she was trans enough.

"Hey!" Jumping out of her chair a little, Jacob looked up and saw Kristy at the table, grinning down at him. She was dressed pretty casually, her light blue blouse clashing with her darker skin tone, and her athletic legs covered up by a long black skirt. While Jacob was trying to get her racing heartrate under control, Kristy winced. "Sorry, didn't realize you were that out of it."

"It's fine," Jacob replied immediately. It was something she said a lot. "Are you okay with me ordering pepperoni for both of us?"

Tapping a finger to her chin, Kristy seemed to consider that. "Hmm...only if they slap some olives on their too."

Not having an issue with that, Jacob went and placed the order while Kristy took her seat and set down her bookbag next to her. She had a lot of pins on it, most of them relating to some of her geeky interests, but a few being queer pride related. Jacob didn't really know which ones they were, though, since she had kind of stayed clear of that whole thing, as if doing so would somehow negate her inherent queerness as a trans lesbian.

Getting back to the table, Kristy gave her a serious look. "You didn't have to pay, we could have split it." Jacob just shrugged, and she seemed to accept that. "Fine, but I'm paying you back some other time." Which implied them hanging out outside of class again. That was something. "So, what's this about?"
