Texas Does!

The sheriff was in bed, coughing and sneezing a lot. "ACHHOOOO!" The sick weasel sneezed. She started getting tissues from the right side of the bed and uses them to cover her nose. She may be sick, but she didn't want to spread it to her partner, who was making chicken noodle soup right now.

"Here you go, sheriff." April said, giving the weasel a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

"Thanks, April." A weakened weasel said, getting the bowl. She then placed it on a small table and starts to eat. "I don't know what to do, April... I can't just stay in bed, knowing what those criminals could do, but I don't want to make everyone sick if I coughed or sneezed on the innocents by accident..."

The Deputy knew that the sheriff had a point. She didn't want Texas to stay in bed either, knowing that their enemies would take advantage on this sick day. However, if Tex did go out there while still being sick, she'll do more harm than good.

"So, what's the plan, Tex?" April asked, worried about the problem.

"A-April... I-I need you to take care of things until I get better..." Texas said, eating a little bit more of the chicken noodle soup.

"W-Wait! Are you saying...?"

"Yes, April. You'll be sheriff until I get better." Texas weakly smiled, using the tissues to take the sheriff badge off her vest and gave it to the deputy.

"I-I don't know, Texas... I mean, I'd been acting Sheriff before while you were gone and all, but... I still got much to learn. Not to mention that I couldn't even handle Jesse and Jane on my own, let alone an army of thugs like you did when I was captured by Roxxie."

Texas then smiled at her partner. "Don't worry, it's only until the flu is gone. Besides, I know that you can handle it." She said, still holding out the Sheriff badge with the clean tissues. "Will you take care of Golden Springs during my absence?"
