"Professor Winters is on the warpath about partnership logs again," Kate continues, dropping onto the bench beside you with casual familiarity. Her thigh presses against yours as if this proximity is completely normal between you. "We're three intimacy credits behind this week, and she threatened to report us to Dean Hargrove if we don't catch up before Friday."
