Tess Tempest Wants To Help Sue

"...to help you," Mae said.

Sue Storm frowned. She wasn't sure how a pornstar could help the Invisible Woman—and, without phrasing it just like that, she said so.

Mae met Sue's gaze. "What if I was your surrogate?"

The Invisible Woman blinked, taken aback by a suggestion completely out of left field.

"I know the troubles you've had conceiving," Mae pressed. "And how dangerous your superheroine life is. I'm getting out of the porn business, selling the studio. I'm ready to...settle down a bit. I've been looking into surrogate pregnancies. I think that might be a way I can really do something good with my life."

Words stuck in Sue Storm's mouth. It was a strange offer. She wasn't even sure how to respond to it. Her first instinct was to say no, absolutely not—but then Mae reached across to her and laid a hand on her knee.

"Think about it. Talk with your husband. There are real possibilities. Imagine a pregnancy where you don't have to go through the morning sickness, or get stretch marks, or sore boobs!"

"But—you'd feel all that!" Sue said.

"Darling, I want to feel that," Mae stood up and ran her hands down her body. she was thicker, curvier than Sue. The wider hips did seem better for breeding. "I can't go out and save the world. But my womb is ready. We could do an embryo transfer—your egg, your husband's sperm—and I'd help bring a new generation into the world while you get to keep adventuring and saving the world—and your figure!"

"I...I can't promise anything like that!" Sue said. "I don't even know if it would work—my cosmic-ray altered anatomy—you might still be in danger, even if Reed and I did want another child..."

Sue gnawed on the idea. It was so bizarre—yet a part of her had wanted more children. Yet she had just met Mae, after years! The woman was practically a stranger. Could she really trust her as a surrogate? What if she'd caught some disease while shooting porn?

"I'll get the files together, so you can take down those old photos," Mae said. "Why don't you call your husband and discuss it? We can at least set up a physical, let him examine me. See what's possible. If he doesn't think it'll work, or if you don't want more children, well, no harm done. You can do that for me, at least."

"I...okay," Sue shook her head. She grabbed her communicator as Mae wandered into her office to get the files. The Invisible Woman found her gaze drawn to the other woman's ass, the sway of her hips. Her cheeks flushed as she couldn't believe she was actually considering such a strange offer. Yet she had sort of promised—and Mae did seem to genuinely want to help.

"Hello Sue," Reed's voice came from the communicator. "What's going on?"

Sue took a deep breath and said, softly: "Reed—how would you feel about having another child?"
