Tell the family you don't remember anything

"I'm sorry, but... I don't remember anything." you say as you slowly take a sip of your soup.

The family quiets, but don't seem surprised by this news. "You were bleeding from the head when we found you." the father says, "So, I can't say that I'm surprised."

"Will she ever remember, Daddy?" the girl asks.

"I don't know, sweetie. Maybe. Only time will tell."

"In the mean time you are more than welcome to stay with us," the mother says, "and if you never recover your memories then I'm sure our quaint little village will welcome you with open arms."

"Thank you." you respond as you finish your soup.
