Tell Her

Mark sighed and looked out the window at the drive way. "I tell you what, you help shovel and I'll spill," he then said turning back to Ashley. She narrowed her eyes at him. "It's crazy Ash...you may not even believe me but it's kind of cool."

Ashley tried to read him. It looked like he was tell the truth but she was not sure. She looked out the kitchen window at the drive. "That's a lot of fucking snow..."

"You want to know?" Mark asked again.

"Fuck," Ashley shook her head. "Oh fucking God you better not be pulling my chain," she warned.

"How did you end up outside nearly naked this morning?" Mark asked with a sly smile.

"You mother fucker..." Ashley shook her head.

Mark had to smile at his sister choice of words and what he had been doing the night before. "I'm going to get my snow gear on," he then said pushing past his sister.

"Yeah...me too..." Ashley grumbled and followed her younger brother.

Ten minutes later they were both outside. Both in heavy winter clothing. The were side by side clearing the mouth of their drive way. It was pretty busy outside was most of their neighbors were out doing the same. A plow truck would rumble up down the street. The pair haven't said a word to one another as they started to work.

Finally Mark said, "I can stop time."

"What?" Ashley asked as she chucked some snow to the side.

"I can stop time, that's what's been going on," Mark repeated. He stopped working and leaned on his shovel.

"That doesn't make any sense, in fact it's fucking stupid," Ashley said and mirroed her brother's pose.

"Hey you wanted to know and I just told you. Look think about it. All the weird stuff...it just suddenly happened right? It was in a blink. Like someone stopped time and started it again," He explained.

"Bull shit," Ashley said.

"Think about it," Mark said as he started to work again. Ashley stood in thought. "Mom and dad spent a lot of money on your fancy college...use that head of yours."

"Idiot..." Ashley shook her head and started to work again. "So you stopped time and was a total pervert?"

"I'm a high school dude...the way I acted is within that scope..."

"Fuck Mark, me and mom?" Ashley whined her face in disgust.

"Well time was stopped..." He shrugged.

"Okay hold it right there," Ashley said as she stopped working and looked over at her brother who also stopped. "Before we go further you're gonna have to prove this shit."
