Tavern

Oswald quickly got over his embarrassment and smiled up at Luna while raising his glass.

"Well, tell the goddess I said hi", he said jovially.

"I'll be sure to send her your deepest regards," she said with a playful smile. And with a nod to the rest of her friends, walked out of the tavern followed shortly by Sabor, who offered to walk with her until she got to the bath house.

Benton smiled at him. "See lad, nothing to worry about. Our friend has got her escort, and now we can drink worry-free tonight."

"Well Benton," the bard replied, "when you're right, you're right. Let's get to it."

And so they had. Benton had stayed true to his word and ordered them each a glass of rum. Durska sipped at his gingerly, taking his time with his drink like he did everything else. Oswald took several enthusiastic sips from his glass while Benton drained his in one go and ordered a second.

'This is going to be a good night,' Oswald thought to himself. This thought reasserted itself as he finished his first glass of rum and looked up to order another. That's when he saw them. Two beautiful sets of eyes looking at him from across the tavern. A pretty Earth Genasi and her equally pretty dwarf companion we're sitting in a corner booth smiling at him.

As their Harengon server placed another glass of rum in front of him, he instructed him to also get another round of whatever the ladies where drinking.

As he did this, Benton noticed and laughed. "A couple of beauties over there, aye Oswald?"

"They certainly are," replied Oswald as he took another sip of his drink.

"You should go over there," Durska said in his deliberate way.

"Ba!" Benton replied. "You should ask them to come over and have a drink with us. You and I can show the old slowpoke here how two men woo a pair of ladies."

Oswald had to think about this. Benton could be fun when he was drinking. But when he overdid it, which was often, he bordered on irritating. He would probably have a better shot going over there and talking to them himself. But, Benton was the one providing all the drinks for this fun evening. This was quite the conundrum.
