Targeted By The Paps !

Debbi and Avalon sat giggling on the bed in their Sydney hotel room. They were looking at a celebrity blog Ava followed on the internet. 'Miz No-E and mystery purple haired friend frolic in the surf on Bondi' was the headline. The blurb that accompanied several paparazzi photos snapped the previous day while the girls had been taking advantage of some down time before the gig read; 'New rap and pop sensation Miz No-E, who is currently touring worldwide with DollaXL, was snapped displaying her perky tits and pert backside in the skimpiest of bikinis on Bondi beach yesterday. The sultry songbird appeared not to have a care in the world as she splashed and frolicked in the waves with a mystery purple haired friend, before retiring to her sunbed to top up her tan.'

Ava had thought she had spied some paps on the beach but Debbi had rejected the idea. "Nobody knows who I am or care about getting photos of me" she had reasoned. She wasn't an avid follower of what was trending and current on social media and was blissfully unaware of the traction that her appearances thus far on the tour had gained, with many fuzzy hand held clips of her on stage posted on various platforms.

"But I'm not a new sensation, I'm a serious business woman" Debbi protested as she and Ava continued to laugh over the arch prose accompanying their photos. "Oh come on" Avalon responded. "You can't keep falling back on that old 'serious business woman' schtick. You've played all these gigs in front of thousands of people supporting an established superstar and the crowds have lapped you up !" "But the act's crap" Debbi proclaimed. "All they're interested in is tits and ass" she insisted. "Which could be said of plenty of other acts in the charts" Ava countered. "You're turning into a marketable asset" the streetwise girl concluded.

As if to emphasize the point, Natalia entered the room. "Ah, I see you've found the snaps the paps took. We've been approached by Wicked Weasel for you to wear some of their collection down on the beach. The photographers are bound to still be hanging around and the weasel guys'll tip them off anyway" she announced. "They'll pay well and you can keep the bikinis and it'll be good publicity for the gig." Only a few weeks ago, Debbi's knee jerk reaction would have been to protest loudly about having to cavort in public in next to nothing and then be plastered all over the internet but now, caught up in the maelstrom of the tour and after the conversation with Ava she had just had, it seemed to be a perfectly acceptable offer.
