Taming And More

The Rock Dragon Egg appears on the floor. It immediately begins to crack and shake. Moments later the eggshell starts disappearing into the air. The Baby Rock Dragon stumbles out of the disappearing eggshell. I crouch down and it looks up at me curiously. I reach out and pour a bit of my mana into it as I did with Eimbis. I appear back on the mountaintop with the Baby Rock Dragon. I see the Baby Dragon grow to be as tall as the Rock Dragon. suddenly spike starts shooting from the ground and I jump back. As I get away I feel a sense of panic. I need to touch the Dragons' head. Only then will it acknowledge me as Eimbis did. I think before running forward. I cast Blink but it doesn't work. So, only Passive Spells work here. I feel the mana in the ground change and jump to the side. I run forward and dodge the spikes. As I get closer the spikes get more and more frequent and harder to dodge. I try taking out my wings but they don't come out. I try swapping to my armor but I can't. I also can't change my body. I probably can't change since this is the Dragon's mind. I think while dodging some more spikes. I jump to the side again and see an image from Clairvoyance. I see myself with a spike skewered through me. I smile and jump. I kick off the spike that nearly got me and leap for the Dragon. I touch the Dragon's forehead with my fingertips and the world goes dark. The next moment I'm back in my cabin. I'm petting the Baby Rock Dragon and a mark is on my left hand. I look at it and see it looks just like my other one, except it has five Altered Circles. I look back to my other mark, the one I got for Eimbis, and see it has another Altered Circle. Before I can do anything about them I feel someone jump on my shoulder. I turn and see Eimbis perched on my shoulder. He lets out a small friendly roar before jumping down. I see he's bigger than the Baby Rock Dragon. They start running around together and I smile.

"They're getting along." Asami says from behind me and I nod. I yawn and she smiles. "Let's get you to bed." She says while pulling on my arm and I smile.

"Wait, Eric. Would it be okay if I examine your Familiars? I wouldn't hurt them or anything." She says and I nod. Before going to bed I tell Bergeth about the room. He shrugs it off and says he'll be sleeping outside. Apparently, he finds it more comfortable. I go into the master bedroom with Asami and fall asleep. I wake up with the sun shining in my eyes. I sit up and see Innu and Luna are still sleeping. Ramia's on the edge of the bed and I carefully get up. I leave the room and find Asami sitting on the couch.

"Good morning Master! I made some breakfast." She says while gesturing to the table. I thank her before sitting down and eating. "What are your plans for today?" She asks and I think about it.

"I want to go to the guilds. I'd like to ask Strom about this new Familiars Mark. After that, I was thinking of taking Eimbis and the Baby Rock Dragon to a Dungeon to level them up. But before that, I need to make a new Dagger. I've been sitting on it for too long." I say and she nods.

"Speaking of. Ramia harvested the Blue Locus Flower. She said she'll harvest them for you unless you don't want her to." Asami says as I stand.

"When she wakes up, could you let her know I said thank you?" I ask while walking to my blacksmith's workshop.

"Will do." Asami says and I thank her. I decide to Observe my new materials from the Dungeon.

Rock Dragon Scales(50), Legendary

These Scales were taken from a Rock Dragon. They're very tough and durable, more so than normal Dragon Scales. They contain less magic though, making them good for tanks and other defense-heavy roles.

Rock Wyvern Feathers(25), Legendary

These Feathers were taken from a Rock Wyvern. They're heavy, compared to other Feathers at least. But they provide great defense. They're mostly used in medium armor, since they're not heavy enough to slow a person down.

Rock Wyvern Fangs(50), Epic

These Fangs were taken from a Rock Wyvern. They're very light and durable. They can be turned into very sturdy weapons that can cut through stone and metal with ease. They're mostly used for weapons, however, some do use them as trophies and decorations.

While Observing the materials I see the Core I got for completing the Summoning quest. I Observe it while heating up the forge.

Headless Core Lvl 75, Mythical

This Core has consumed the Mana of a Headless Horseman, otherwise known as a Dullahan. The Core contains powerful mana and provides it to the Item or weapon it's embedded into. It also contains the Skill known as Head Hunter.

I smile while reading it and turn to my forge. I melt my 15 Blue Dragon Scales and my Blue Locus Flower. I pour them into ingots and cast Draconic Ice to cool them. I start hammering away, turning them into a dagger. I place the Condensed Mana Gem, that I got from scrapping Mareth's Wand, into the dagger. I place it right above the grip and it acts as part of the guard. I finish hammering and place the Headless Core in before leaving. I see Verona outside and she greets me.

"Hey Eric, what's that?" She asks while pointing to the dagger I'm holding.

"It's what I used the Blue Locus Flower on. But it's not done yet." I say while walking over to the stairs.

"Do you mind if I watch?" She asks and I shake my head.

"Sure, come on." I tell her while climbing up the stairs. I enter my Enchanting room and cast Lucky Draw. I Enchant my Dragon Heart into the Dagger.

Enchanting Crit!

The Enchantment has Crit, causing the heart to give more of its power and magic to the item.

I take out my Enchanted Steel Rune Graver and equip my Runic Gravers Glasses. I start writing the runes for Mana along the grip. I write Spell Damage along the dagger, next to the blade but not on it. I write Magic Boost around the Condensed Mana Core. Finally, I write Runes for Cutting along the blade itself. Once I've finished I Observe the dagger.
