Talks to the football team

"You're a fan Larry?" Daniel said as he shook Lauren's hand.

"Oh, he watches all your games!" Charlotte spoke for the mortified Lauren.

"That's great!" One of the other players said. "Maybe when you can play too, when you grow up a little more!"

"Is he okay?" Daniel asked Charlotte, noting Lauren, or 'Larry' was not responding.

"Oh, he's just super shy." Charlotte explained. "And he spilled food all over his jeans, and is sooo embarrassed about walking around in his underwear."

"Hey, no need to be embarrassed." Daniel reassured Lauren.

"Yeah, you're at the age you can run around wearing whatever you want!" One of the football players added. "Enjoy it!"

Lauren was not enjoying it. Their attempts to make her feel better were just making this all the more humiliating. Did she really look so young, so unfeminine that everyone believed she was a boy? She couldn't believe this!!!
