Now what?

Talking Over Breakfast

It took a while, but eventually I calmed down enough for us to part. Once you had double and triple checked that I'd be fine for a minute on my own, you went out and bought some breakfast for the both of us. We ate for a moment before you decided to talk a little.

"So, last night was a wild surprise, right?" you chuckled as to break the ice on this conversation.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, bro, I was just... so scared of what you'd think of me... And I was even more scared to admit it was true in the first place."

"Sis, there were over a thousand petgirls in our high school alone. Some of your best friends became petgirls. It's nothing to be ashamed of."

"I know, I know... But all this time, I thought I was going to be an engineer, and I wanted to make you proud! I didn't want to just give up on my dreams or disappoint you."

"You could never disappoint me, sis. I love you more than anything in the world. You're my baby sister, you know that."

"I love you, too. You're the best brother ever."

We finished up our breakfast in silence before continuing the conversation.

"So when did this all start?"

"I think it was only a few days after we moved into this apartment. That's when I started having these thoughts."

"Wait, really? The moment we got a place of our own your mind changed?"

"I have no idea why. The doctors don't know either. Just something peculiar with my biology, I guess."

"So, a dog, huh? What kind of dog do you think you are?"

"I'm not sure yet. This is all so new to me. I bought some Corgi ears, so I think I'm going with that for now."

You gestured in the direction of my ears and I blushed at the realization that I was still wearing them.

"What's it feel like wearing those?"

"They make me feel... Calm. Definitely calm. Like they're a part of my identity I'd be missing if I took them off."

Then you did the most wonderful thing. You reached up and rubbed my ears a little. I know they aren't part of my body, and I can't actually feel them on top of me, but...

I felt it. I truly felt as if I had dog ears for a moment, and you had just reached up and rubbed them. A small, barely audible whimper left my throat. You quickly drew your hand away with a look of embarrassment on your face, while my face turned beet red.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me..."

Instead of responding, though, you took my hands in yours and waited for me to make eye contact with you.

"Sis, everything's fine. You're still getting used to being a petgirl. You've done nothing wrong."

My blush didn't stop, but I realized I had some important questions to ask. Questions that I was afraid of the answer to.

"So... What are we doing about where I live?"

You leaned back in your chair as a perplexed look fell over your face.

"What do you mean, sis?"

"I... Will I have to move into a pet store? P-Put myself up for adoption?"

I tried to keep it together, but the thought was so soul crushing that I couldn't get the words out without **** on them.

"What? Sis, you live here. You're not going anywhere."

My eyes got watery again before I whispered, "You're not going to kick me out?"

"No. Until you find your master, this is your home. You belong here."

I threw myself at you as "thank you" and "I love you" spilled from my mouth over and over. For the second time that day, you held me in your arms and took my pain away.

Bliss
