Taking the Tests.

Waking up cuddling Penny is a dream come true, hopefully one that I will get to relive every morning from now on. I wake up before her and just keep cuddling her, rubbing her back and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Sadly I don't get to enjoy her sleeping face for very long, as the first school bell goes off, waking Penny up with a bit of a start.
As she shoots up into the sitting position she nearly headbutts me, thankfully my reflexes are pretty good. She is breathing heavily for a few moments before she blinks a few times and looks around, seeing me sitting up next to her, a goofy smile on my face.
"Go...good Morning...." She says, a blush covering her face as she remembers last night. I lean over and give her a peck on the lips.
"Good Morning to you to my love, I guess its time to get ready for the day." I get out of the bed and move over to the kitchen to make some quick breakfast for her and myself.
"I will be taking the graduation tests way ahead of schedule today, since I don't want to spend time in classes trying to teach me things I already know. That will probably take most of the school day. Do you have anything planned for the day?" I say, offering her a bowl of oatmeal with apple chunks mixed in. She takes the bowl.
"Its good to know my partner is so smart" She says with a soft chuckle. "I honestly don't know what I will do. My usual thing for the last few months has been trying to find ways to take down Team Star... and you had to rescue me from the latest attempt... im honestly still a bit shaken by that..."
I walk over and kiss the top of her head. "How about this, You come up with the plans, Ill be the muscle who goes in and battles them, once my pokemon are strong enough of course. I'm sure your amazing brain can come up with something." I say with a chuckle, sitting next to her to eat my breakfast.
"Okay... that seems more doable, Ill use the day to start coming up with a plan now that I have your help." She says with a smile that melts my heart.

We finish eating and I take a quick shower before heading towards the Director's office. Penny goes to her dorm room to start planning.

When I get to the office I see a desk set up and a huge stack of papers on the Director's desk.
"I was able to get everything approved, but you will have to sign some paperwork and do all the tests under my supervision in order to stop any chance of cheating." the director says, getting up from his desk and pulling out a contract for me to sign, which says that if I pass the tests I will not be required to attend classes, but if I fail I will have to take all my classes and will have to attend a Extra Class on top of that. Since I know all the answers already I sign the contract and go over to the desk, where the director then sets a big stack of papers on the desk for me to finish.
"You have 1 hour per test, for a total of 6 tests, and after that is done you will have to battle one of the staff members in order to prove you are knowledgeable in battling. Your time starts now." He says, clicking what looks like a stopwatch.
I recognize the same questions I have answered many times in the past through my many playthroughs, with every question asked in class instead of just the Midterm or Final Exam questions, so these tests are a breeze, getting through each test in less then 30 minutes each.
"That was certainly quick, less then 3 hours and your done with the written tests. While I grade your tests head down to the School Yard to have your Practical Battle Exam with Professor Dendra." He says, picking up the stack of tests and heading back to his desk.

"That was certainly quicker then I expected, lets hope your rush to finish didn't lead to you failing those tests" Dendra says with a hearty chuckle as she sees me enter the school yard. "I was starting to get bored, so its good you showed up early." She walks over to a briefcase and grabs a set of 6 pokeballs.
"Sadly they said I couldn't use my team, said it was to strong to use against a new student, so I have to use the team they gave me." She says with a sigh.
Well that sucks, I was really hoping to sweep her fighting types with ease, but I never step down from a challenge.
"It saddens me that I don't get to face the Strong team you put together, but maybe we can do that once I finish my gym challenge." I say with a chuckle, which is rewarded with chuckle of her own.
"Get into position, I am aware that you don't have a full team of pokemon, so choose how many you will use and I will pick the same amount."
Since I only have 3 usable pokemon at the moment, with me not having trained up the Flebebe at all, I choose to use Honey, Jasmine, and my Butterfree.
Dendra chooses her three and we get into position. "On the count of three we each throw out our first pokemon and the battle starts. 3. 2. 1. Go!"
She sends out a Dolliv and I send out my Butterfree, already a good type match up, but since I don't know what else she has I can't afford to be cocky.
The Dolliv sets op a Grassy Terrain and I start it out with a Gust, doing decent damage to the pokemon, but not as much as I thought it would, its probably a higher level then my pokemon, so I need to be careful. The Dolliv goes for the Mega Drain and I just keep sending gusts at it, not wanting to get close in case it has something like Flail that would do serious damage to Butterfree. By the time Butterfree knocks out Dolliv, it isn't looking to good on health either, the Mega Drains seeming to do enough damage to warrant a switch out. I call Butterfree back and I summon out Jasmine while Dendra summons out a Galarian Meowth... fuck. I don't have something that is super effective against a Steel type and that thing will hit hard. Thankfully jasmine should out speed it, even with the level difference, but this is going to be a tough battle.
I have Jasmine stay as far away as she can, trying to not let the meowth close, while using Magical Leaf while running away from it. Jasmine is just barely faster, a few attacks just barely missing as she jumps away. That Metal Claw is scary, one hit and it will probably hurt Jasmine a lot. Thankfully my luck has been holding out, as Jasmine manages to do serious damage to the meowth by the time she takes that hit. I can tell that she can't take much more of this and 1 more hit will knock her out, if it wasn't for that Grassy Terrain that was set up by Dolliv, Jasmine probably would have stood a chance. It comes down to the next hit, so I decide to go for broke, knowing that Jasmine has higher attack then special attack, and tell them to go for a Leafage instead. My luck is once again on my side, as Leafage hits first and Knocks out the meowth right before that metal claw was only an inch away from hitting. I breath out a sign of relief and call back Jasmine, giving the pokeball and kiss before pulling out my third pokeball.
My luck must be pretty high, as her last pokemon is a fighting type, a Passimian to be exact. It may hit like a truck, but nothing it has will be effective against Honey.
Honey doesn't even need my instructions, she uses teleport right as the monkey pokemon rushes forward for a Take Down, allowing it to hit the ground hard before coming up behind it with a hypnosis, putting it to sleep. Honey then uses Draining Kiss over and over before is is knocked out. It was a brutal victory, but Honey is the perfect pokemon to send against a fighting type. I kiss the top of Honey's head before calling her back into the ball. I hear a slow clap from Dendra.
"Well Done! you fought really well, your pokemon must really trust you, that Kirlia even more so. You have passed my test, hopefully you passed the others as well. I look forward to seeing your exploits as your talent grows." She says, giving me a thumbs up. Since I know it will probably take some time to grade those papers, I decide to go for a walk and heal up my pokemon.
When I get to the pokemon center they tell me that Jasmine is ready to evolve, having reached all the way to level 16 from that battle. it was level 13 before the battle, so that must have been a lot of experience. I go ahead and let her out of the ball to evolve.
