Taking stock

We all settle in day 1 and take a look around, gathering our bearings. You curse to yourself silently when you see the sole double bed in the other end of the shelter. The kids are going to have to make due with the spare cots they'd put down here the last time they "updated the supplies". Looks like the air fresheners had done their job, good thing he and Dolores brought down a crate of them last time. The bedding was fresh for the same reason, that reason of course being that Dolores got absolutely freaky for the few hours a year they could claim this underground space in the name of "chores".

Glancing around for the real reason of your survey you spot the plentful food and water supplies that you also checked and replaced last time you were here, no sense half doing a job.

You settle in and calm the family, its going to be a few days of settling in and getting a routine going before anything can happen. Eventually you will be able to send out a scout or two..... maybe the kids and you and Dolores can live out some old bunker fantasies and blow off some stress.
