Taking off

The plane was far from over booked, but somehow they had managed to separate their three seats by double selling Chloe's seat. Rather than moving them all, they offered a ticket in first class, which she immediately snatched up and left her father and friend alone, with a businessman from LA in the seat closest to the isle.

"Well, I guess its just us then," Roy said.

"Thats okay, Mr. S, gives us a chance to get to know each other," Serena said with a smile. "Plus...this is my first time on a plane, I might need you to hold my hand."

They made small talk about softball and college plans as the plane finished loading and then taxied to the runway. Serena had gotten a softball scholarship offers to a couple of colleges but had yet to commit. She had to make her decision as soon as they got home from this trip, or she could lose them all.

As the plan began to roll down the runway, she surprised Roy when she did in fact grab his hand and squeeze. "You promise we're safe?" she asked after a few moments.

"I promise," he said. "You should look out the window. I will change seats with you if you want."

"No, I'm in the middle seat and thats where I should stay," Serena told him, but her eyes darted curiously towards the window. "I would like to take a look though."

"Go ahead, its okay," Roy assured her. "When you see the view from up here, it'll help you forget about being nervous."

Serena let his hand go and carefully leaned up and across him to peer out the window. Roy smiled as her expression of fear turned to awe at the sight of the ground now far below them. His own expression changed slightly when he realized that in that position, her left breast was less than an inch from his face.
