Take the left passage

You pause at the fork, considering each path carefully. The narrow left tunnel makes you uneasy - if anything went wrong in there, it would be nearly impossible to turn around or retreat. But the right path leads downward into unknown depths, and you're not sure you're ready to descend further underground just yet.

You look back at your companions to gauge their thoughts. Nell looks focused but calm, while Adi shifts his weight impatiently. Jon catches your eye and gives a small shrug, leaving the decision to you.

Taking a deep breath, you point your group to the left, figuring it's better to stay in tight quarters for now than rush headlong into danger. "This way," you say, ducking into the tight passageway. The others follow wordlessly.

The close walls make you feel a bit claustrophobic as you inch along sideways, sucking in your belly to squeeze through. Rough stone scrapes against your arms. Just when you think you can't stand it any longer, the tunnel opens into a larger cavern.

You step into the expansive underground chamber and raise your torch high, illuminating towering stalagmites and shimmering pools. Phosphorescent mosses cling to the damp rocks, casting an eerie glow over the alien landscape. It's utterly silent aside from the occasional drip of water.

"Wow," Jon murmurs behind you, craning his neck to take it all in. His chin slackens as he gazes around the cavern. You have to agree - this is a marvel. You hope no nasty surprises are lurking in the shadows.
