Take on Hosting Mabsday Eve

You look over at Fay before giving your answer. You can tell by the sparkle in her eye and the curl of her half-smile where she's leaning.

"Party?" you say.

Fay's half-smile broadens to a grin.

You turn to the Tutor, Preston Sharper. "We'll take on hosting Mabsday Eve," you tell him. "Time for a bit of fun."

"Very well, Morgan, Fay," the Tutor says. "Your efforts will be appreciated, I trust."

"Thank you, Tutor," you reply. "Where should we begin?"

"Mphm," the Tutor clears his throat. "I believe Samara Grover was one of the organizers, Mabsday last year," he says. "I do believe Dorothy the Porter was a great help to Samara. And Samara's fellow, Patrique, though I don't know how much preparation he actually did. And you could ask the Prefects, I suppose."

"Thank you very much, Tutor," you say.

"All right, then," he says. "Off with you, now, we'll make proper Leonteans out of you soon."

You can spend your FAVOR from Fay to help set up the first ENCOUNTER. An ENCOUNTER with a member of Leontes or a Boarbristle staff member is resolved with a roll vs. Bravery: +BRAVERY(-1), or if you expend Fay's FAVOR, +BRAVERY(+1).

It may be a clever move to start with a popular member of House Draconis who has friends in Leontes, such as the well-connected Anastasia Aberdean or the flirtatious Felice Collier, befriend her, and use her FAVORs to win over staff or members of Leontes. In this case, the ENCOUNTER would be +AMBITION (+2). Or call on Morgan's ex-enemy Pipistrelle Clawson from Minerval: +CUNNING(+2) and get her help, similarly.

Your goal, to start, is to accumulate two FAVORs, at least one from a House Leontes student, and another from a Leontes student or staff member or a Boarbristle staff member, to help you arrange the Mabsday Eve party. Perhaps Boarbristle's Forester could help with the Fair Folk connection, or Leontes' Cook for the harvest theme. Or perhaps Miss Wormwood could be convinced to prepare philters granting "love dreams". (You can describe others participating without having to earn or use a FAVOR if it fits with the theme of your party).
