Take his hand

The pull of the satyr was too tempting. You took his hand and followed him deeper into the forest.

As you walked, you began to admire the satyr as he led you along the forest path. Broad muscular shoulders and powerful legs. Even his scruffy hair did nothing to detract from his handsome appearance. You find yourself wondering how safe it would feel to wake up in those arms every morning. Your thoughts then started to drift to how you would repay him for keeping you safe. Your cheeks flush red as you try to push those thoughts out of your head, but every time the wind catches his musky scent, those thoughts pop right back up.

He eventually brings you to a well-maintained cottage and leads you inside. The interior is strikingly cozy, fully decorated, and furnished with well-made furniture. The satyr guides you over to the fireplace to warm up, while he fetches a bowl of stew for you to eat. After handing you the bowl, he grabs his panpipes from a nearby table, sits back in one of his chairs, and begins to play a soothing melody.

The stew is delicious, and you make short work of the entire bowl, placing it neatly on a table and returning to bask in front of the fireplace while you listen to the satyr's music. The fire's heat permeated through your clothes and skin, feeling like it was warming you to your very core.

As the song progressed, the warmth you felt continued to rise until you were uncomfortably sweating. You had already tried to distance yourself from the fireplace, but this did nothing to bring the temperature down. You gazed over at your host and saw that he was still comfortably playing away, not a drop of sweat to be seen.

How?

He wasn't wearing any clothes; maybe that was the issue! You hurriedly start to remove your clothing, hoping that losing the extra layer will finally let you cool off.

Once again, a lone voice screams at you from within your mind.
