Take her with you

You keep holding on to Gabrielle and follow the left passage.
“Sabine …” Gabrielle says. “Leave me.”
“You’re my friend, Gabrielle.” You say. “I won’t leave you behind, I can’t.”
Gabrielle closes her eyes and sighs. “You’re making a mistake.”
“Then it is my mistake to make.” You say angrily. “I won’t abandon you.”

As the two of you pass through the abbey, it feels eerily empty. Normally you always see a few sisters, or hear some birds outside. But you now you see or hear nothing.
When you come across the Baths, you decide to go inside. Once in, you begin undressing Gabrielle. Maybe with her armor gone, you can inspect the wound and help her.
You manage to strip Gabrielle completely naked. It is the first time you see the African woman fully nude. She is so very different from a Caucasian girl like yourself, but certainly not less beautiful.
As you check the shadowy spear, you make certain not to touch it. No doubt its corruption would affect you too simply by coming into contact with it.
The spear seems to enter her back and come out of her right breast, but it doesn’t leave a wound. It is difficult to see due to the spear and Gabrielle’s skin both being so dark, but the spear hasn’t made any holes in her skin. Furthermore, she is not losing blood.

Suddenly Gabrielle screams and grabs her right breast, like she felt a sharp pain in there. She writhes over the tiled bathroom floor, screaming at the top of her lungs. You try to help her but have no idea what to do.
As you look upon your friend, you see her eyes turn yellow and nails turn into claws.
“Dear goddess.” You whisper. Maybe you should have left her behind like she told you.

Then you can see the spear start shrinking. The more it shrinks, the further the corruption spreads. As more and more of Gabrielle’s body changes, you realize her life as a human is over. You watch in horror as your friend transforms.
